I could go on for hours about why this ship was a bad choice but I'll stick to just a few things that are bugging me the most. First off, this group of bounty hunters wasn't all that interesting to begin with and why does the crew complement list this ship at 400? What!?! They're bounty hunters, in the episode "Think Tank" there were numerous ships of 2 man crews, facepalm. And finally, don't we have enough damn tactical ships? Not too mention that the Kazon ship is a tactical ship, albeit a TRIBBLE one but still. I think that the other ship coming out in the new lock box/lobi store should have been a science vessel. Lock box/lobi store Tactical ships out number Science vessel by a count over 2 to 1. In fact the ship that it should have been was this one:

These episodes were much more engaging, IMO, and the same goes with everyone on IMDB.
"Year of Hell PT 1 & 2" rated higher than "Think Tank."
"Think Tank":

"Year of Hel part 1":

What do you all think?

RnD and upgrade needs less RNG. Less lottery. Something has to change.
^ This basically... They stopped caring a loooooong time ago. Take it for what it is, and play on. Enjoy that they are at least adding content and unique ships to the game and keeping it somewhat fresh. Is it a cash grab lolLotto? Absolutely! But the facts are, those "grabs" make updates like DR possible.
+1 And unlike other so called ftp games, this game IS ftp .
But complaining about crew size?
:DYou made my day buddy.:D
Honestly, I don't care as much about the crew thing as much as we got another damn Tac ship.

The thought that a Nicor Bio ship is Tier 5U while this vessel which I almost not even remember from the shows is supposed to represent Tier 6+ (Tier 6 fleet) is a laugh at itself.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
Thats easy to explain. By using races with very little information from the series they are pretty much free to develop them any way they want.
Don't worry about crew size. If you watch, Search for Spock. The Bird-of-Prey compliment is a dozen or two officers. Definitely not a couple of hundreds on STO.
I hope the new ships burn in TRIBBLE(especially the Intel ships) and the Cryptic get a face palm from players. So, I'm hoping low sales. I am deciding not to play any T6 ships if it's not cannon looking.
I always thought STO should have gone in this direction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gGLE3USB2U#t=281 with strange new worlds and exploration.
To answer your question about crew I think there should be more interaction and they should have a equal leveling system. As for storage, I think they should have a promotion system that you can demote. Demoting a officers to crew compliment will effectively erase all there data saving server space.
So, instead of 400 fully scalable npc's. You have maybe 14 scalable npcs (boff and candidate), then the other 386 just will be crew compliment. For example.
Mine dilith->exchange-> zen
Energy credits->keys->lobi
or
Mine dilith->exchange-> zen->keys->lobi
NEXT!
I have lobi stuff and cstore ships without spending one dollar on this, and you dont need this to play the game, but whatever.
Didn't your dad tell you that money doesn't grow on trees? Someone has to buy your dilithium with real money. Also I don't think you have played that many F2P games because many of them allow people to sell stuff they buy with money. That's hardly unique for STO.
To OP: Nice ship. 3 LtC seatings?
If you like star trek , you like to have ships with the correct crew on em, maybe you will love a galaxy class with a crew complement of 100, lets say? that will be ridiculous. The Hazari destroyer (for a start, in the shows it was never a destroyer, just a small assault ship..) should not have more than 100 or 200 crew (and that is too high already).
But i agree, that, at this point, it is better to forget everything about cannon and realistic things in STO. Cryptic always did what they want, and its better to play with what we have and forget about everything else.
The problem is, crew compliment is never a problem in small ships, they regenerate really fast, but in huge ships, it is still a really important problem that still needs to be fixed. It is one of the reasons i barely play with my bortasqu.
You can buy Zen with real moeny but you cant sell it for real money. Dilithium market is artificial, because it is always one way trip to virtual currency, excnahge rate could appear to be player driven but it is not.
zen does not exist until somebody buys it with $$
keys are bought with zen which only exists because somebody paid $$
maybe you are willing to trade your time for somebody else' money ... whatever ... the ships still cost money
Doesn't alter the fact that the core function of the game is still F2P.

The ships in this thread are not
Get used to this. Voyager didn't have any really memorable ships (for a variety of reasons) so just about every ship is going to be a ship?
True story. I challenge anybody to play this game for free without using a single item that cost an initial Zen price. So no keys, no inventory unlocks, no EC unlock, no DoFF unlocks, nothing and tell me how it goes? You may be able to get all of this stuff without you paying money but someone did, that's the point.

Believe it or not. This ship won't get that much action anyways. Why? As stuppied as it may sound No A2B boff set up. I for one don't look for this on escorts but I do for cruisers. Still you watch and see.
Pre-FTP Cryptic gave me Marks for doing the same end-game things over and over and over. I could use them to purchase Purple Gear, and if I saved up 300, or maybe it was 500, of them I could get a "free" Excelsior on a single character.
Post-FTP Cryptic gives me Dilithium for doing the same end-game things over and over and over. Thanks to the Exchange I can use it to buy everything available.
Same amount of playing effort; many times more outcome value.
thats not the point. somebody spent the money. if they had not you would not have anything to trade for. the game made the money when they sold the zen what happens after that they could not care less.
