A weird observation about beam colours

Maybe I'm not the only person who noticed this, but, is it just me, or did most of the baddies in Voyager use blue-coloured energy weapons?

In TNG and DS9, recurring baddies/occasional enemy ship of the week tended to have some variety to their weapon colours (ie green for Klingons, Romulans, Tamarians, Borg; orange/yellow for Cardassians and Ferengi; blue for the Husnock, Miradorn, Dominion; red and purple for....well you get the idea).

But in Voyager? Every single recurring bad guy race (or significant one-off race) seemed to use blue energy weapons. The Kazon, the Viidians, the Vaadaur, the APUs, the Hirogen, the Hazari, etc, were all blue (da ba dee da ba di). There were a few notable exceptions of course (Species 8472, the Borg), but still....

Anyone else notice this? Perhaps the writers of Voyager just really liked the colour blue?

Delta Quadrant K-Marts were running a "blue light special" in the firearms department. :P

This has apparently carried over to the game! Reading dispatches from Tribble, I understand that polaron with a side of tetryon is the flavor of the expansion.
    So, authenticity, I guess :)
