Intrepid Revamp?

Any news on Intrepid improvements in DR apart from visuals? Obviously you have the T5U but the Intrepid is still pretty underpowered.

    If common belief is true, that a T6 intrepid is coming, then i'd imagine they wouldn't bother redoing the old one.
    Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

    But honestly I don't think just because Voyager is going back to the Delta Quadrant that means they're going to make a T6 Intrepid.

    I really doubt there's going to be a T6 Intrepid. The only way I see it happening is if they're planning to make T6 versions of all the other ships too, which makes the T5-U upgrade system completely worthless and will just anger people when a T6 version of their upgraded ship comes out.

    The Intrepid is not a very special or amazing ship, canonically. The day they make a T6 one, there would be a dozen threads asking for a T6 Sovereign/Odyssey/Defiant/Prometheus/Luna/Scimitar/Bortas'qu/literally every other ship, and I wouldn't blame them.

    And then, again, anyone who upgraded their old ship would feel like they wasted money. It would be like the Patrol Escort Retrofit, except much worse.

    Then again, it would make Cryptic tons of cash from all the people who buy into T5-U before their T6 ship comes out, and all it would cost is customer anger, so... who knows.
