    Yes cruisers get the decloak bonus, its worth it for spike damage.

    standard decloak bouns;

    +25% Defense After Decloaking, +15% Damage Bonus for 5 sec

    Some Rom boffs also extend that duration of bonus so that you get it for longer periods of time.

    If nothing else, every time you move from one part of combat to the next, cloak. That way you'll get the decloak bonus. You can't just cloak then drop it instantly. You have to be cloaked for a short period of time. Blipping in and out won't give you the bonus.

    What's funny, despite all the cloak advantages Roms get with their Warbirds and BOFF traits, I see many of them not even use cloaks :P

    I suspect most of them are feds. That, and even if they were KDF they'd still not use the cloak to 100% effectiveness without some BoP upbringing in their earlier years.

    The problem is the game has driven away BoP players by making BoPs unfeasible in the long run. They get OHKed nonstop, all their benefits are counteracted by NPCs. You'll spend more time respawning than you will playing the game if you keep trying to run BoPs through the latest content.

    In short, Cryptic killed off the training program (BoP use) which taught the subset of players which would know how to properly use those Rom cloaks.

    What we're left with is a feature that few know how to use anymore.

    I have a thought... how about scaling down OHKs so that even BoPs on normal difficulty settings can actually play the game?

    At the very least, give all Raider classes instant respawns. No delay, no matter how many times you die. Make them immune to taking ship damage for X time after they get any injury, regardless of difficulty and times they die.

    SOMETHING! Anything! I'm spitballing here, but honestly the entire BoP experience has long since been murdered by Cryptic's choices vis-a-vis NPC balance.

    I rarely blow up using bops but that is only because I am in that one bracket of extremely low minority that has been using a bop for longer than most players have even played the game lol. They do need the following though for development purposes imo to bring more ppl into using battle cloak ships as well as bops.

    1. The decloak bonus needs something either the same or unique for the kdf bops when it comes to the cloak ambush due to the fact we did have it first in the game but compared to romulans now it is horrible.

    2. It is supposed a hit and run ship but I would propose if Cryptic actually wants to improve upon this there needs to be a more focused design on this to where there are benefits of hitting and run since you don't want to stay around too long for prolonged battle.

    3. Geko once stated they were reviewing bops and maybe adding stuff here and there and giving different bops different roles but nothing ever became of that but now that we all think about it I personally think its a must now that we have current and maybe (wishful thinking) future bops have a specific role.

    4. Lastly they should remove that pvp flanking handicap from bops. I could stomach it for pvp reasons if per say if like these fed and romulan vape dps ships lost one of their tact console slots when in pvp which would be roughly the same thing except they still wouldn't have to be shooting a rear facing lol.

    Overall though its been an abusive struggle with KDF ships being if the KDF ever gets anything it is like there must be some handicap just so its not viewed to the small pvp community that its not a threat to them lol. Thus ruining any pve experiences which this is pretty much a pve game without really any pvx content. As well most mmorpg companies who do multiple factions and pvp have specific teams setup that work on things as a faction basis as well as pvp focused which STO/Cryptic/PWE does not have that focused. In all I don't think they are incompetent but I do believe they lack a focus to make this game go where it needs to go they just need to do some internal adjusting to go back to the mentality of something for everyone and not a one sided bias that makes a lot of ppl feel like they need to just go elsewhere for gaming.
