I didn't have much of playtime in the last month or so, barely an hour if at that for the last 4 weeks. By the sound of it, I am completely outdated. Even if I want to pay to catch up, I don't even know where to begin. This game has become way too complex, being unable to play for a month due to work means I am obsolete.
the implications are you need to relearn pvp, and get used to being totally helpless and unable to use abilties, getting them striped off constantly, every ship with delta rep moving twice as fast as those without, and getting super vaped by people with 155 weapons energy, thats a 60% buff for anything shot at that level btw. kdf can get up to 165.
I used to pvp casually but now I´ve all but given up on it since the crafting change. But this.....I don´t know why anyone is putting up with this anymore. I´m not saying you shouldn´t if you still like it, I just don´t see how anyone can still like it
Oh yeah, and get ready for T6-U, or Fleet T6, whatever they are calling it. I´m still surprised that got out, wonder how many sales in ship upgrade tokens they lost on that. Anyone know how Lockbox ships will be handled when Fleet T6 comes out?
When you unlock a starship trait, is it bound to that character and/or faction? For instance, could I buy the Dauntless, level it to get the trait, and then use that trait on my Reman KDF toon?

its going to be fun reading the pvp forums over the next couple months as one by one we get to read dino players cracking up and explodeing in a ball of qq before they leave the game for good:)
So in other words, everything is normal/like always nothing changes?

*snip* what it boils down to, is that unless you're running a Fed something you're not competitive. In Unlimited play (what Torach is calling "Real" PvP), the grind determines how good you are, for KDF players or (Potentially) Romulan players, this boils down to "Cryptic's putting a ceiling on your advancement. Roll a Fed. snip"
Dear friends / cherished enemies -
So even I'm now convinced... any glory that may have remained for the Klingon Empire is now so vanishingly small that it is most certainly a good day to die, and then also time for my fallen Klink brothers to remain in Stovokor forever (or at least until such time as the IP goes to someone else)...
AND with that I'm even thinking about rolling a Feddie for the new PvP meta...
that is, right after Cryptic's Chinese overlords eat the peanutz out of my sh*t *grinz*
How are star ship traits NOT cross faction AND account usable? Cryptic really dropped the ball on this in a couple ways.
1: The sheer imbalance of not being able to use the reciprocity trait on all characters on all factions on an account is just idiotic, that trait is too powerful to be left in the hands of only one faction.
2: Cryptic is actually losing money by locking these star ship traits to specific factions. I am an example of a lot of people who don't even bother with Fed side who would literally buy 3000 Zen just to get the Phantom, to master it and get the trait so we could use it on KDF side. That's a financial opportunity lost for Cryptic.

Never thought it would end this way.

Kill Feddie.
Waff
Benthan+Hazari+Pedal to the Metal I guess... but other than that, there is nothing marginally useful for a KDF Science Officer to use.
Feds get a million traits from all the T6 ships and lockbox ships. I am diappoint!

These traits need to be cross faction.
