I suppose if I could muster up the energy to care about Ensign Generic I'd say you did a good job.

But frankly, Lon Suder and Tal Celes were more interesting than this guy. He was to Sulu like the Kazon are to Klingons; a pale, low-quality, vaguely racist ripoff.

At least Garret Wang's a pretty cool dude, he could do quite a bit with an actual part with, y'know, character traits and an IQ score and stuff. I hope the writers did better by him than the Voyager hacks.

They did. Harry is written, dear god, like a f-ing human being. He even at one point in a mission, ASKS FOR PERMISSION TO SPEAK TO YOU, THE ADMIRAL, something these other NPCs don't do. And he's shockingly Genre Savvy. Dear god, Harry actually points out when typical Trek action #4 is a monumentally stupid idea.

And most importantly: emotions. Harry has them.

Jeez, all the hard work that Harry Kim did in Voyager over the years he'd should of been at least of the rank of Lieutenant junior grade or Lieutenant when Voyager got back home to the Alpha Quadrant.

I don't know, the three episodes where he actually had a sliver of focus he was pretty damn good. Timeless, the Chute, and Nightingale (I suppose). As for the other 165 episodes....you win.

I too am eager to see how Cryptic treats him in action.

But it is funny if you fail the battle of Korfez though, his voice of disdain at your failure is epic. :D

leading to a hilarious running man dance-off between the CG and real-life Garretts.

I have two issue with this. The CG Running man can go forever which is unfair. The other issue is why wouldn't you put a mo-cap suit on him and use it in game so the cg one uses his moves to emote in game, made it unlockable and then allow us to use the "Harry Kim Running Man" emote.

    OPPORTUNITY WASTED!

Well, according to poster #7, he is in fact written quite well.

And I feel like Christmas has come early and it's my birthday again and Donald R. Prothero himself is telling me he likes my research. This is awesome.

    Meh.

I would rather have thoughtful quality content then to revisit the gypsies of space {Kazon}. I hope DR lives up to the hype, or it will be time to part ways.

Expensive Crafting System where you cannot choose Mod - Check
Expensive Upgrade system that assign random mods - Check
    T5U versus promised t6 lockbox/lobi upgrades - Check
Giving the players what they want - Who cares, grind monkeys grind.

I would be embarrassed to show my face on livetsreams weekly given the lackluster flawed product you are producing.

Obtaining the voice actors was not difficult, they are not busy with other acting jobs. Don't be so impressed.

just wondering if the actor's last name will still trigger the profanity filter......

but that aside, I continue to be impressed by ALL the people at Cryptic, The incredible artists, the coding programers and yes, even the project leaders. you guys rock!

He is. Of course some people are going to have their hang-ups about any given character because personalities are like that but that shouldn't stop you or anyone from appreciating what cryptic is going to be doing for Harry in DR (easily the best used of all the returning actors [not a slight on the others, but Kim wins this one], I'm hoping for a buddy-team spin-off for season 10.)

Bit odd to see 2410 Harry in an Oddy uniform but for some reason wearing a 2370's Voyager badge.......

So I wonder who will play as the Rhode Island's crew, will it have some familiar faces in the mix like the Aventine with Simon Tarses as CMO or the Enterprise F with Chief O'Brien as her Engineer. It seems to be who you know gets you where you want to go. It would be awesome to have some minor characters appear in his command staff from Voyager. Some of the Equinox crew Voyager picked up too since they spent time in a Nova Class vessel in the Delta Quadrant. A good XO could be Naomi's daughter grown up or Icheb if he advanced his career between 2409 and 2410.

We have never seen the Rhode Island crew before and it will interesting if some familiar faces and decendents make up the command structure.

I recommend checking out "of gods and men" if you haven't seen it yet. Garrett does a good job in that. Also, its got an amazing number of trek alumni in it.

I always liked Harry Kim's character and always hated Janeway, well for many reasons but one of them was, because she never promoted the poor guy. He distinguished himself with honor on numerous occasions.
    A beautiful death awaits you...

I did see that, the fact that he did that on such short notice and basically for free coupled with his actually pretty god performance is one of the reasons I think he's pretty cool.

Garrett also had best placement for his credit on the opening of Voyager, the camera shifts up and music gets to a high and Voyager is seen as I like to call "skating" on a planet's rings, and then warp drive.

Best part of the entire opening other than the ship flying below a solar flare.
