Hello!
Today I visited London for the day, and among some other things I went to the Excel Arena to Star Trek Destinations! While there I met some amazing people, including Robert Picardo, Jeri Ryan and Ethan Phillips.
There were also many different stalls and shops there, selling everything from detailed maps of the Star Trek universe/galaxy to little electronic tribbles, really quite amazing. As well as this, and getting photographs and autographs with Star Trek stars there were huge talks with big actors such as Patrick Stewart which were very interesting and fun to watch.
There was also Perfect Worlds own stall for STO!

When there they gave me the opportunity to complete a mission with the Intel Scryer Science Vessel, just wow. That ship withstood anything and everything the enemy threw at me, and this was no easy task of course, but I was amazed at how resilient the ship was when at low hull levels! I saw another player using it, and literally survived an entire mission with a hull below 30% the entire time, like wut?!
Anyway, basically just to say that for any of you that maybe even could still attend tomorrow, or are thinking about going to the Star Trek Destinations next year in London or elsewhere, I definitely recommend it. Along with visiting other places, it summed up a great day out!

But onto more, pressing matters. Just being able to play with the Scryer has totally convinced me it's worth buying the Delta Rising pack, which I intend to do if I don't win the draw on the 13th (never know!?).
So yeah, go ahead with Destinations and Delta Rising if you get the chance, strongly recommend them both!
Thanks for reading if you could be bothered!

Not to sound jaded, but are you sure they didn't raise the defensive capabilities of that ship just for the demo purposes? Maybe to soften the experience for first time players?
I suppose it's possible, but I don't see what it would achieve. By doing that all they'd do is prove that they're not trust worthy, and so myself and all others who tried it wouldn't buy it.
