Tier 6 Fleet ships

So, I've been wondering about the fleet versions of the T6 ships. Though I know that they will be coming out later in Delta Rising. I have a curious question. What happens to the ship trait points once we have maxed it out? No doubt there will be people that get it done within a short timeframe. If we upgrade that ship to a Fleet version, do those points transfer over? Or will be have to level that ship up once again?

I suppose this also leads to another question of, how much time and effort will be required to leve up a ship of that calibar. Obviously meant as a new tier, rather not replacement for the T5. What type of general time frame can be given on the amount of effort needed to put into making these ships max level to begin with. Will this expected amount of time and effort also incress when getting Fleet ships?

If you get to level 5, then you will unlock the unique starship trait for any ship. It is possible that Cryptic will change the Fleet ship system so that it is an upgrade and not a completely new ship like the current Fleet ships, but that is highly unlikely. Chances are that your progress will be reset to 0. Of course, since Tier 6 Fleet ships are months away, then there is little chance of getting that info until Cryptic is ready to release it like usual.

It is extremely doubtful that the levels will be different for each ship so to get to level 4, it will take the same amount of time to reach it if you are in a T5-U, Fleet T5-U, Tier 6, or Fleet Tier 6 ship.
