Any 2410 M.V.A.E planned? (escort)

i have been watching the delta rising news since it was announced, and i am wondering does anyone know is there is a multi vector escort is planned?

because i ended up getting tricked when the dauntless was announced i was so excited because i thought it was a new Prometheus class ship.

and out of all the new ships i have not been impressed about what i have seen for escorts at all.

if i HAVE to upgrade to a new ship i would prefer to keep my vector escort

    dauntless im not sure on its classification, however the devs have placed the dauntless in the science group, so yeah, easy one to get confused about.

    same with the voyager and the enterprise-d itself, there was never anything concrete to place it in a specific group so it was made up for that point.

    fyi the dauntless is not shown to have mvam ability at all, since the primary source for the ship class shows the ship was a ruse by some sort of elaborate holographic system, its not known what its true capability would of been of such a vessel.

    Tricked? Really? I mean, I know they share a similar triangular hull shape but how could you have seriously thought this? :confused:

    I would also like to see an advanced escort refit, but if they plan on "retiring" the current advanced escort as they did with the old patrol escort, no thanks.

    @ hypl - did you see the ep where Dauntless was shown?
    VOY S4E26 "Hope and Fear"

    A very smart and crafty alien setup his own advanced ship to look like a "gift" from Starfleet, it uses advanced particle synthesis, basically like holograms on steroids. The alien took an actual transmission from Starfleet, which was badly garbled, and manipulated it to make it sound like Starfleet had designed this special ship as a one-off, to fly itself to the Delta Q and pick up Voyager's crew.

    In STO-verse, Starfleet decided to take the logs from Voyager's encounter with this alien and this ship, and make a real Starfleet vessel based on the schematics etc.

    Yes, I have. But Dan believed that the Dauntless was a new variant of the Multi-Vector Advanced Escort. Clearly, it's not. They may have a similar hull design, but that's it.

    I highly doubt they have any plans for another MVAE ship. If they do, then they're top-secret.
