warp cores W->S question

demencius2demencius2 Member Posts: 26 Arc User
I have this simple question to ask to people that might now. About the fleet warp cores that give some extra power to shield according to what power your weapons are at. So for example it says it gives 7.5% . So if weapons are set to 100 your shields benefit by an extra 7.5 power. So far so good. But i have two questions about this.

Does it take into consideration your set weapon power or the actual weapon power when on the "combat" area?
So in my case my weapon power is set to 100 (cant go more) but on "battlefield" is actually 122. Will the 7.5% weapon to shields be calculated by the 100 or by the 122 ?

Also doest the calculation happen in real time?

Meaning.

Since you fire your weapon power goes up and down, in my case sometimes it drops even to 50 or even less. During those times will i be gatting less power on my shields according to the current weapon power or it is a fixed amount?

    From what I have seen, using the opposite S>W, it goes based off the total power, and not just the setting itself.

    Now with that in mind, it does take quite a bit of power differential, to even effect the other by a single digit.

    So, in the example you gave of WP at 100, granting an extra 7-8 SP, at 122 WP, it nets only 1 extra point of SP.

    This may have been changed, or will be change, or may not be changed, but it is the results I have had lately.

    so it has to do with "actual power" but what happens during firing? The weapon power drops significatly during gunshots, will the bonus also fall during that time or it just takes into consideration the state of the power pool on idle?

    The bonus power does not fluctuate with your current weapon power levels. It is based on the maximum weapon power level. At most you will get a bonus of 7.5% of 125 or 9.375 extra power to shields.

    Best way to test these things is at a planet. ESD or any other.

    Add and remove the item and you will see you power levels change. Works for everything now.

    To answer, it goes by current power up to 125.
