Set Bonuses in DR

Perhaps I missed this somewhere but does anyone know if set bonuses will become more powerful at Mk XIV? For example the assimialted borg techs 3 set bonuses. Like more tractor damage and shield heals?

    Rumor has it no it won't. Borticus (I think it was Borticus) said something like set powers can't scale because they made the set powers matched to the set not the level. ie you could now have Mk XII assimilated engine with MK XIII shield and MK XIV deflector.

    Having said that they might scale as your character levels up to 60. But, AFAIK that has not been confirmed by a Dev.

    ugh... I really hope they scale up as you level otherwise I feel like sets with set numbers as bonuses rather than percentages will just become obsolete

    This was brought up in the Tribble forums and essentially, because Set Bonuses now ignore Mk level, having the bonuses scale as well has been put into the "too hard" basket. It might happen one day, but it's doubtful.

    So you're old Mk X Assimilated Engines, will work fine with a Mk XIII or Mk XIV Deflector as far as the "set" goes, but it will not get any boosts to the set bonuses themselves.

    Did the set bonuses between Mk X, XI and Mk XII even scale? I honestly can't recall...
    The entitlement is strong in these forums...

    Yes, they increased slightly for each mark level. Just enough to TRIBBLE you off.
