Replaying the Klingon Story Arc (Spoilers)

I am replaying the Klingon Story Arc - I haven't gone through it basically since Klingons have been turned into a Start-at-1st Level faction again, though I think I checked out some of the new missions before.

I had not realize how much later missions were revamped!

Aside from voice over and story enhancements - They killed Alexander! NOOO!

I didn't see that coming. At all.

Now Worf is without a son. That makes me sad. His line may end here. :(
Or does he have any other children I have forgotten about?

I am certainly eager to see if more stuff happens. How many other missions were revamped so far?

    Actually he has another son.

    Plus D'Vak is Alexander's kid.

Yeah, I just realized that I could still do the Forcas III Bat'leth tournament (It first seemed it was gone from the mission), and there he mentions having more than one son.

    But I didn't know this about D'Vak.

All is well then. Well, except poor Alexander.

Poor Alexander? it was a decent honorable death what more can a warrior ask for.
they exposed the enemy, cleared his own name then had courage to take the bullet so to speak for another.

Yeah Worf has another son with Grilka, I remember reading it from the lore pieces of "the path to 2409". And now you know about D'vak being Alexander's son. :)

I also remember DStahl specifically stating that the scenario with Alexander's death had to be processed by CBS back in LoR, being a canon character from ST and all, and that CBS approved this scenario.

I loved the new series of missions they did for the KDF. I created a new character to see what it was all about. It was very much needed and it makes lot more sense. Plus to try out using the BoPs. Which I'm loving those ships.

I was sad to see Alexander died, but at least it was a honorable warrior's death. If you play the next series dealing with the barge of the dead. You will see more stuff. Which I thought was a nice touch.

This may sound a bit dumb but, who is D'Vak? Where does he feature within Star Trek as a whole?

He's the general in charge of Omega Force. He was more significant back before they introduced the Reputation system, since he was the mission-giver for the Borg STFs. Actually pretty impressive, making General with the (tacit) support of both Okeg and J'mpok at such a young age.

Worf's nephew, the son of Alexander Rozhenko and the Klingon that's in charge with the Omega Task Force (Omega Rep.) on DS9. You can meet him and talk to him on DS9, I think he's in the Omega requisitions office or rather what used to be the requisitions office before the rep.system.

Don't you mean Worf's grandson (son of his son)? I'm surprised that he doesn't introduce himself as D'Vak son of Alexander(or K'Mtar) son of Worf from the House of Martok when the player first meets him.

It's a bit of an Easter Egg, but I guess D'vak doesn't want to be judged by his ancestry rather than his own merits.

Well, where I live we have one same word for grandson and nephew. :o That's why I might have missused the word. I hope everyone understood what I meant.

As for D'Vak's introduction - there could be a few reasons as to why he doesn't introduce himself that way, but I personally blame it on sloppy writing and not paying attention.

No worries. Translations can be tricky things. In Korea, I have seen numerous translations for the word "Hwarang": Flower Cadet, Flower Student, Flower Boy(s), and Flower Warrior. I prefer to use my own description, Flower Knight.

Too bad the writers of Voyager couldn't have made Harry Kim a descendant of the most famous Hwarang, Kim Yushin. He was the general who united the three kingdoms of Korea, in addition to using Kites for signaling and battlefield communications.
