Watch out upgrading Jem'hadar Polaron Beam Pistol

This is currently my favorite pistol weapon in the game, so with the new upgrade system and the free goodies from the NPC I figure "hey, why not?"

The Beginning Item is a Jem'Hadar Polaron Beam Pistol Mk XII (Very Rare/Purple) (This is the Pistol that was upgraded with the Lobi item)

The predicted item was Jem'Hadar Polaron Beam Pistol Mk XIII (Very Rare/Purple)

When I went through the upgrade process, spending the items and the Dilithium (and the free accelerator) I got:

Jem'Hadar Polaron Beam Pistol Mk XII (Rare/Blue)

Certainly a disappointment, but the system is new, I figured I screwed up the upgrade or something... so I ran this thing through the upgrade one more time because I was curious:

Jem'Hadar Polaron Beam Pistol Mk XIII (Rare/Blue)

For me, the unmodified (non lobi) Mk XI Blue version does 42 damage X2 (116 DPS)
The Lobi purple Mk XII version does 46 polaron damage x2 (127 DPS)
My double upgraded MkXIII blue does: 46 polaron damage x2 (127 DPS)

So basically, I paid a bunch of dilithium to get a gun that was exactly the same as the gun I now have, except I already had it.

Seems to me like it might have something to do with the Lobi upgrade not counting or something, so if you have any of the upgraded jem'hadar stuff, look out. It's probably not worth it.

I've said it before and I say it again. Stay away from upgrading Jem'hadar stuff, it's still broken.

Wow-just-wow! Sorry to hear that friend, I also love the Jem'hadar weapons.
Also why I just accept the goodies handouts then wait six weeks to two months before I start using a new system. Been in your boots a few times myself!

Thanks for sharing this. I planned to upgrade that too on my main character. That is my favourite pistol in the game. Love Jem'hadar stuff. I will wait then.

Sadly it is my favorite pistol too and badly bugged for the upgrade system.

Another warning to those who are THINKING of upgrading it....

I only OPENED the upgrade window to see what it was like, without doing anything (didn't slot any materials, etc), and bam, when I closed the window the Lobi upgrade was gone - it went from purple to blue quality.

BE WARNED. Don't even think about upgrading until the devs get this sorted out.
