Upgrading Question

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I'm really confused. I've just upgraded my Adapted MACO shield from MK XII to MK XIII.

When I put the shield back into the upgrade window, the 'Possible Result' box still shows the MKXIII shield (the only difference is it being Ultra Rare) - but all of the stats are the same? I.e. shield capacity and regen rate.

Am I not able to upgrade the shield to MK XIV at this stage? Is my shield stuck like this?

    That still doesn't explain though why Mk 13 Ultraviolet should show the same stats as Mk 12 Purple. I hope it's just a bug.

    Hallo all,
    So I have this Shipshield: Covariant Shield Array Mk VI [Pha]
    And 3 Superior Shields Tech Upgrades
    Both won through the story missions.
    But The Shield doesn't come up in the Upgrade menu. Tried it via the context menu of the shiel ("Upgrade item") and the Upgrades ("Use Tech Upgrade") But the shield I want to upgrade just isn't in the list.
    So what am I doing wrong? which items are applicable?
    I succesfully upgraded a personal shield so far, but the ships shield are my next target.

    You can try putting it into your inventory and then upgrading. It doesn't seem to like upgrading things if they're equipped, although some items manage it.
