So I have been using the Delta Alliance set (much like everyone else), and until recently, I haven't been too fussed by how intrusive the Unimatrix shielding effect is.
However, with the introduction of the captain specialisation, it's now unbearable.
To clarify, the new 'eat my dust' trait in the 'pilot' secondary tree add a new animation that makes your ship swerve side-to-side. I personally love this new effect, as it really adds weight and feeling to the new trait. The downside to this is that the Unimatrix shielding effect is now moving A LOT and is starting to cause heavy sensory overload. (To add further context, I have NEVER suffered from sensory overload in a video game before, so this was quite a jarring experience!). There is also the same issue with the 'Rock and Roll!' ability.
I feel that the effect needs changing. I personally love the new 'eat my dust' and 'Rock and Roll!' animations and would hate to lose them, whereas the Unimatrix shielding effect doesn't really add to the feel of the space combat in the same way the new traits do.
I'm interested to see if anyone else is getting this issue and has a view on the situation.
*I would also like to add that I usually have my camera quite close to my ship. I have noticed in videos that people have their cameras much further back than I do.

Strangely, this was the first thing I did...
It's not the visual effect on the ship, it's the effect that is activated when the shield gains a stack of hardening (in case that wasn't clear).
