Romulan Dyson with Anti-Matter Warp Core?

Dumb question: Can the Romulan variant of the Dyson Recon destroyer slot an anti-matter (NOT singularity) warp core?

I ask because I'm seeing build pages at STOAcademy.com that show the ship with various AM warp cores, including the Solanae Core from the Tuvok mission. Which makes no sense since, to my knowledge at least, Warbird-class ships (like the Romulan Dyson variant) can only slot singularity cores.

Is there something special about the Dyson warbird? Can it in fact slot an AM core instead of a singularity?

It cannot slot M/AM warpcores only singularites.

However, if you completed the solanae set you got both a M/AM core AND a singularity core.
And it wouldn't surprise me if there is a singularity version of the obelisk core.

Yeah, I thought so. And now for another stupid question: How do I "complete the solanae set?"

Note: I have the engine, deflector and shield from the "Step between" mission. Do I just repeat it again for the core? And when it drops I get both (AM and Sing) versions?

The core is only available from the 9-console Anniversary grind ship.

If you didn't get it then, it is 600 Lobi.

(O/T - there is no singularity Core for the Obelisk AP set, its M/AM only)

I know when I got my core, I got both the singularity and the M/AM core versions. I actually use the M/AM core on another ship. As to how I got them, it has been awhile but I thought they actually came with the Anniversary (grind) version of the DSD. Which means if you didn't do the grind but bought a C-store version of the DSD, I think you might have to buy the Lobi version to get the core.

No, there is NOT a singularity Obelisk Core. Republic characters don't get to use the two piece set bonus on a warbird.

As much as I appreciate the STO Academy (and have all my builds on there), it relies on the builders to be honest about their build and the viewers to have knowledge of what's possible. It's perfectly possible to show in STO Academy an impossible build, such as a 5 fore-weapon ship with 5 "Maximum one per ship" Omega Torpedoes sitting on the front. And even worse, for that ship to end up with a ton of "Medals" as a result.

As the saying goes, "Buyer Beware"!

I've got an actual, built-in-STO-for-real Romulan Dyson on there, the RRW Sarissa. Notes in the notes section. The Sets include the Reputation sets, and the c-store sets. Weapons are from Reputation, and the tactical consoles from fleet (Spire IIRC) boost weapon type rather than energy type which helps avoid the issue of "Proton unmovable cannon, plasma everything else".

    Hope this helps!

Call me a newb on this but where are you supposed to purchase it from? I looked on the Lobi store (both on person and at Drozana) and couldn't find it listed.

The Dyson Science Destroyer is available in the Ships & Crew section ... Along with things like the Jem-H Dreadnought and so on ...

    As mentioned it's 600Lobi ...

If you don't see it there, then you have a problem. Either you actually already have it or the Anniversary version on that toon and have accidentally "dismissed it, in which case it "should" be under the "Reclaim" tab ...

Otherwise, you'll have to submit a Bug report, and wait 3 years for an answer.

I've looked over it several times...either I'm blind or I'm bugged...unless you need to have unlocked it on a character on your account to see it on the Lobi store?

EDIT - I had it unlocked on a character but I ended up deleting that character (It was only like lvl 12)
