Back from a long absence. Now that omni beams are available I can build the ship I wanted.
I hate cannons, hence the beams on a escort.
Since I need both the Kinetic beam and the 360 omni, I am pairing them up with their counterparts for the bonuses.
Kinetic Beam with the Assimilated console for Omega Weapon Amp.
360 Omni with the Obelisk WC for the Antiproton bonus.
I have the Nukura deflector but waiting rep grind for the Impulse Engine for the weapon bonus.
Looking for suggestions on the consoles. Still lost on those even though been back a couple weeks.
Thx for looking.

Teams no longer lock each other out and with low aux power ET is far better than A2SIF.
I'd also trade BFAW3 to BO3 as BO no longer depletes weapon power.
There are a ton of useful Universal consoles available these days.
Vulnerability Locaters are a great replacement to Tac Consoles as you can get them in AP but with +CritH on them.
If you find yourself squishy their are Buffs for Hull and Shields. The Nukara Console Boosts beam Accuracy, the Zero Point Module adds CritH.
Consider the Dyson set with the Gravimetric Photon Torp, the Experimental Proton Weapon (works as a Beam and Cannon) and a Console http://sto.gamepedia.com/Protonic_Arsenal.
If I ask you a question it is not an insult but a genuine attempt to understand why.
When I insult you I won't be discreet about it, I will be precise and to the point stupid.
RCS and Field Generators. The former to help you keep that nose always pointed where you need it, the latter to increase your buffer against spike damage. Try to upgrade to spire tactical consoles when you can.
Might as well throw in a Beam Overload 3 if you're doubling up on APOs(drop BFAW 3 to BFAW 2). Lastly, I'd suggest running Engineering Team 1 and slot in EPtW2 to help compensate for the massive power drain of running that many DBBs.
Time will only tell!
Have not noticed any drop in Weapons power past 100, but replace a DBB with a Romulan Hyper-Plasma Torpedo Launcher? An other good Torps low on the Rep chain?
I was running two copies of BO for a while, seem to have more DPS with 2 FAW though.
DBB's have a 90 degree angle and I haven't had any problem staying on target.
Field Gens still the best escort Sci consoles then? Nothing better in the Fleet stores?
Those new Tac consoles, they better then plain weapon-type consoles?
Did not know that team powers did not lock each other out now. Will definitely look into ET.
Are diminishing returns worse now, as in don't bother getting more then two armor consoles?
Field Gens are nice on escorts to offset the lower shield modifier and better protect the weaker hull against spike damage. That said, Emitter Arrays are fantastic for longer engagements - especially on cruisers and science vessels.
The Spire Tactical Consoles are a straight upgrade over regular damage type consoles - they add the same amount of damage.. with a bonus to crit chance/damage.
If you really want to run a torpedo, I'd suggest the Counter-Command Enhanced Bio Torpedo and slot Torpedo High Yield 3(Instead of BO3) - it's safer than the Romulan Hyper Torpedo, cannot be shot down and does AoE damage on the magnitude of a Tricobalt(15-20k). The other common alternative would be the Dyson Gravimetric Torpedo with Torpedo Spread instead(each torpedo has a chance to create a mini-grav well).
Diminishing returns are the same as they were; it really starts to hurt when you have more than 2 of the same type.
Yeah that's why I suggested BO to replace APB.
There is a console called a Shield Refrequencer, and there is a + Shield HP version of it. It will probably be easier to get through the Dyson rep grind boxes (I've gotten a couple) then trying to buy a Field Generator. It has a secondry effect that can be quite useful. If you don't luck on getting one you can buy directly from the Dyson store when you have enough Rep.
Yeah, the same Purple Mk XII in percentage with an extra CritH mod on them. Same DPS boost, easier to get and they increase the chance of a getting a Critical Hit making CritD the best stat on a weapon these days.
