Probably about the gear, since we already got a blog about T5U-upgrades.

Try level 5 for the first upgrade token (2k upgrade research) and level 10 for the second upgrade token (5k research)... Presuming there will be a third token at 15, but have not reached that level with my R&D however to be sure...

They've been craftable on PTR for at least the past week - but not yet usable as the equipment upgrade system is not yet in place for testing... They're also not bound to character (at least at the present time - and hoping it will stay that way) so can be traded...
The entitlement is strong in these forums...

There are, remember you can toggle unmet requirements in the menu at the top. i think there are two options. a standard one, and one that requires a new item ive not seen before.

one at lvl 5, one at lvl 10, two at lvl 15, all tradeable, only the lvl 5 one actually required

I wonder how many people will craft or buy these things assuming this is how to upgrade equipment and be ticked off because they didn't realize the obvious truth that you have to be level 60 to use Mk XIII and Mk XIV equipment. So either they buy something that can't be used for 10 levels or they lose their upgraded item for 10 levels.

Yeah, but at the same time you know there will be some people at level 60 by the 16th of October. :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

When you say that the "upgrade token" is not character bound and is tradeable, is that account tradable or like exchange tradeable?
    Are we there yet?

They stated it will function similar to a Fleet Module, so you will probably be able to sell/buy them on the Exchange.

    That sounds ok.

Kinda like the idea that you do it yourself (like I will), but the whining about it would force Cryptic to purchase a liquor licence and require players to meet the minimum age requirements for their locality.... hmmm maybe not such a bad idea.... ;)

Mk XII gear will still be good for you to run L60 content, so no concern there. no need to rush to Mk XIV gear and scream doom when you can't you've got nearly a month to work on your R&D gear, (heck, I'm already level 12+ without paying) so you should be fine by October, or soon thereafter. You'll be fine! :)

    Your pain runs deep.

And some people will queue up as many repeatable exp giving quests and doff assignments as they can possibly fit before maintenance and turn them all in at once when the servers go live, hitting 60 in mere minutes.

Cryptic made it a point to not let that happen. It'll take about 10 or so hours of consistent playing to hit 60, and that's being nice about it. For some of the more committed players, look at about 20 to 40 hours for most people who are very active to hit 60
