Just throwing this out there.

http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/?build=charalfleeta2b10_8047

I know it has very limited survivability, but I run it with my engi for the extra survivability. I've run this a few times in Omega STFs, no serious problems noted except for attracting aggro and having to run or die more often than I'm used to.

Thoughts?

Just overkill tactical cooldown reset. I'm not a fan

I've fallen off the a2b hate wagon once I mastered the mechanic...yes haters, there is much more to a2b then what you think...

Anyways, it's just too mesh mash
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

Single A2B would give you a CD down to ~20 seconds on most powers, aka close enough for government work, with the option to pop Tactical Initiative for when that extra 5 seconds really matter, and would let you bring along a science officer instead of the 3rd engineer. Also if you're gonna run a Gravimetric Torp, why not swap the Zero Point console for the Proton Particle Stabilizer, boost your torp damage plus more CrtH for your antiproton procs? Lastly, why not the Borg Deflector instead of that Fleet one, for most of the same durability-increase stuff plus getting the borg hull heal?

On the plus side, you definitely have a tool for every situation, and spread3 plus that torp is always fun.

I did this a couple months ago, was bored and looking for something different. Within about 5 minutes I got told I wasn't playing the game properly by 4 or 5 people.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm a bit new to torps and will swap that console out, or replace one of the sci modules for the proton particle stabilizer. As for the CDs, yeah I've run a 1/2 A2B on this and on the fleet patrol escort refit and it does just fine. I'm kind of a min/max guy though and I'm always looking to push things a bit. I don't mind that I have to mash a lot on this build. It's a nice break from my beam boat which basically flies in circles spamming BFAW and making sure my tank stays up...

lol it's like a tactical Macgyver build. I had a similar thought but never went with it. For fun in pve I run the kumari with no eptx. As long as you're smart about positioning survivability isn't too bad. I would seriously think about getting the full borg space set. The extra heals are great.

Have you thought of doing a AtB/AtD build or even just a dual AtD build?

A lot of people used to say that about aux2batt builds too...they still do...I smile and wave at those people :)

People that "tell" you how to play in my experience have some ego issues to work out. They're the same kind of people who get really defensive when you just point out a different way of doing things...much less make a suggestion about how they themselves are doing things.

In my view, the more abilities I have up and running the more DPS I'm doing assuming I'm keeping up with the mashing. The only issue here is survivability and playing an engi/using a large shield battery when needed go a long way to mitigating that for this build.

No I haven't but you've given me something to think about :)

    Sounds kind of fun.

As for the borg set, yes I've thought about it, but my guess is that the elite fleet gear (especially the shield and def) give me more in terms of survivability? Haven't run the numbers to be sure. I should look at that more closely because survivability is the issue on this puppy.

I run an A2B build with no sci on my FAC. Also all 3 tac boffs are romulans with superior operative. It has 30% CrtH with APA active and is a proven 30k ship.

Kinda have to agree on that.
Putting the Eng boff with EPTW & A2B1 on the eng seat an slotting a sci-guy with HE1 and ST2 in the universal instead may also improve your survivability.

You need Hazard Emitters. Simple as that.

Getting the most out of it requires A LOT of math involved, much more than the average person even wants to touch, and that is AFTER you do the math to find what ships work. I think all the math work is another major factor that turns people away.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.
