There are ships that are bought with real money with 0 value! This is because the special items that come with that ship are only available on that ship! If someone is absoluely in love with the ship they have but would really want that item on thier ship to bad!
I for one would love the Tal Shiar Adapted Borg Tech, specificantly the warpdive, (why it's not a singularity is beyond me) for each of my Borg Captains. But to have it I have to have one of the 2 Tal Shiar ships. For this reason I'll not buy these ships.
If I could transfer these items to another ship then I would have 5 characters with both Tal Shiar ships in dock! While this means a BUTT load of credits to a lucky player or more it also means funds spent to aquire the Lobi Crystals to get the other ship in the Lobi Store.
Ships like the Advanced Obelisk would be purchased for the console that could be applied to any ship or a select group of ships (Dyson) that players prefer to use.
All of these ships are T5-U so they still carry something besides a golden ticket item, But why so restrictive on a handful of items in game?
