From what I can see, sector space in the Delta Quadrant covers an extensive distance. As a result of this obviously a much larger distance is being covered by the area normally in place. As I pointed out in another thread here, this would mean that one "sector" is the equivalent to 3000 light years across rather than the standard 20. Would it be possible to scale the distances in sector space to consider this?
I don't mean actual travel time or actual distance we need to travel, that would be a tad ridiculous, but in terms of looking at systems in sector space "astrometrics view" giving a distance from various systems, could those numbers be scaled up to accommodate this difference?
Voyager wouldn't have had much of a challenge getting across the Delta Quadrant if it was the distances given in-game, scaling these numbers by 150 would solve these problems for our in-game immersion and surely can't be that difficult to implement.
