Switching Traits between space and ground

If there was an earlier post about this topic then my apologies. I must have missed it.

I was wondering why we do not have a switching mechanic to switch between ground and space traits in between ground and space transitions when we are not in combat. Would this be a real problem to code into the game?

Also just having a system similar to ship loadout switching in regards to ground and space traits with just one key press or click would be helpful.
