My Verdict on the T6 Ships, and T6 in general

I'll be honest........

...ahem...

I actually quite like the T6 ships....

[prepares for incoming homicidal-rage storm]

Seriously though, they look cool (that sounds so cliche, but they look badass). They don't look particularly un-Starfleety in my opinion (guess that's down to your point of view). If I could afford it in addition to the Voyager bridge (which I almost NEED in my virtual life), I would have no moral qualms about paying Cryptic for the Delta Rising Pack thing, because I love the look of every ship (bar the FED science ship).

Also, having played some of the content on Tribble, I think it's monumentally good, and I would say that this season is going to be absolutely incredible, and a new era as far as STO is concerned :P

I'm waiting until I see the ships in game before I decide if I like them or not. From the screenshots I just can't tell enough.

As for the missions, what I've seen so far I enjoy, except for more forced solo play.

I don't like any of the ships, but I'm happy with the stats and abilities on them.

They don't appeal to me, so I'm sticking with my T5U ships. After reading the stats and abilities, while some of them are nice, they seem well balanced with what's already in the game.

Reading the release has fully convinced me that none of my T5 ships are anywhere near obsolete. I don't personally care for the ships, so I'll pass, but if they release some more 'traditional' variants of Fed ships down the line, I'll take another look.

I'm happy to be keeping my current ships, I have absolutely no doubt I can hang with any of those ships.

Eh, they're not really my cuppa, but I'm not going to break out the painsticks because someone does, really.

I just love my Galaxy more than these ships.

The Faeht is a joke! It's a complete farce that Cryptic are calling this a "new" ship! Apart from the skin and the Hybrid BoFF slots, it's a Fleet T'Varo ...

I like the look of the klink ship, but that is it. One token klink ship is not enough to entice me to play klink again though. I will stick with my 10 console ships as they are or switch into my breen ships as I will not pay to upgrade a c-store ship.

i will agree with you there, i dont really see what all the fuss is with cannon, i often think i guess that people just love to fly the ship from their favorite series and thats fine, but in my eyes time has moved on and ship design has as well, i suppose a lot of people love classic cars in the same way but they must realise that older models cannot compete technology wise to modern cars and the same would apply to ships.
so if you want to have a little fly arround in a ship that looks like it come from one of the old series and think it looks cool that is fine but you must also realise that time moves on and if you expect to compete against top level enemy you will need top level ships.

so at the end of the day the ships dont look anything like ones from the series but you have to realise this game is not based in the era of the series but later in time, you must realise that time has moved on beyond and so has technology and design.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I'm freaking PSYCHED for Delta Rising. Yea, I bought the back the day they released it. Yea, I've caught hell for doing so, though I'm looking at it this way: I'm going to get the ships anyways, and this is the cheapest way to do it as well as getting some other goodies

Well, there are enough whine threads, so a "he i like it" thread once in a while is refreshing.

The funny thing is I heard the very same complaints made about the T6 ships made about the Ent D when that show first premiered
