    As far as the article goes it raiss some interesting thoughts like direct to brain advertising - is it you that wants those pants or someone telling you, you want those pants? Or how about controlling society to do what someone or something wants, just how long will it be before we plug ourselves into the collective or are made to?

    Professor Hawking is probably watching this with keen interest.
    Imagine being able to communicate your ideas to someone else who could talk for you, or even just write it all down.

    Indeed, that is a major plus in this research, there are a lot of people with various communication problems this would allow to help with their day to day lives and would also allow everyone else to better understand their problems.

    Also with direct communication you not only get the message but eventually will be able to get the intent behind it as well, as this is the biggest problem with any communication today, we may all see one message but how we interpret it could be umpteen different ways.
