Sort by recent recruits duty officer exchange

Cryptic,
Can you please bring us the ability to sort duty officers by recent recruits when doing the duty officer exchange?
We used to have this ability in a round about way. By going to the "Roster" tab then the "Status" drop down and selecting "Recent Recruits." When selected any duty officer that was recently recruited would be the only ones shown for any given mission.
The new systems makes it a pain to exchange or reassign duty officers.
Unless someone else knows how to do this I would like this functionality restored or created.
