I teamed with a fleetmate of mine today who is a romulan VA. He had 2 of the coolest torpedoes:

omega plasma torpedo launcher

and

gravemetric photon torpedo launcher.

Are these things you can acquire on the exchange or are they ROM only weapons at VA?

They are reputation rewards you can buy through the relevant reputation system, Omega and the other one I cant remember what it is lol

They are "rep gear". You can only acquire them by doing the appropriate reputation system. The "rep system" is only available to max level characters and they are bound to your toon. Additionally only one can be installed per ship.

The Omega Plasma Torpedo Launcher is part of the "Omega Adapted Borg Technology" set. You must reach tier 4 of the Task Force Omega rep system before you can purchase it.

The Gravemetric Photon Torpedo Launcher is part of the "Protonic Arsenal" set. I think you must reach tier 4 in the Dyson Joint Command rep system before you can purchase it.

Press U on the keyboard then press reputation tab start contribute your resources to these reps task to level up and get your chance to get these neat weapons gear. Remember .

Yeah,

It's not made very clear in the game, but from the moment you open up new romulus, you should be starting on your reputation.

Apart from the nice gear you can buy (for dili) or the rndom drops from the rep boxes you receive, you also get a load of new traits you can use which are very powerful traits to have.

You can get rep marks from doing either the ground zones associated with the reputation, the daily sector red alerts or by doing the STFs (PvE queues).

While you're levelling your reps, once you get one mark box (per rep) with the daily bonus and just keep doing that 1 stf/mission per day/per rep, you'll have enough to level and then some. And keep saving those marks as there is also special rep equipment you can buy for rep marks too.
