please add two more columns to powertray for - and =

Out of space in my ability tray. Simpllest solution with immediate returns is to make it 3x12 by adding support for - and = keys. That will give 6 more on the 3-row tray.

I'm not opposed to other approaches but this is the least disruptive approach.

There's a fourth (vertical) column. And keybinds might help, too.

There are 3 more vertical rows actually, if you can find place for them.

At the moment there are actually four rows that can have keys mapped to them, although you can only display three of them on screen at once, you can use all four with the key bindings at any time.

With manual clicking you could display rows 5-7 to raise the total from 40 to 70, although a couple of extra buttons would obviously raise this even further making things a bit easier to manage (counting through mine I have 44 powers, although some can be managed through other buttons, the space bar, arrow keys, shift-R, etc.).

The fun thing is that since the begin the game had the keybindings for - and = they just got removed recently.
There was just no way to place powers into the corresponding slots ...

Well, there is a half-assed macro language from 10 years ago (legacy of City of heroes). But TBH they should get with the times and put in a Lua or Python based macro language and UI customization.

But yeah those are the hallmarks of very expensive sub-based AAA MMOs. And I would much rather keep STO as currently is.

We already have a keybind macro language/syntax, I just want the visible cells w/ default mappings

While this is, of course, a nice idea and I fully support it.. It doesn't cover the true problem.. the sheer overkill on the amount of activatibles. It needs to be stopped and trimmed.. By the time we move from the next expansion half the screen is going to be buttons!

    I support this proposal 100%

Yes there are extra trays, but cycling is a serious pain, adding two buttons to each would be very appreciated.

Vertical trays are annoying to use (in my opinion). I'd be much happier with additional boxes added to the horizontal trays and maybe two more horizontal rows.

I second this notion, I am used to another MMO, that allowed up to 20 vertical trays to be used, and position where you wanted them, and you could even make them vertical if you wanted.

Signed. I'm already using all four bars now (running out of buttons on ships with hangars or subsystem targeting), and with DR adding even more abilities, I needs moar buttons.

    Yes with hotkeys from options.
You can do all 10 with txt keybinds, basically what i do is: i keybind rows 4,5 and 6 and dont need to see them on powertray and leave three basic rows for powers i want manually click.

row 4, batteries devices and junk like transwarp
5 and 6, ship abilities that keep reslotting if I dont put them somewhere
row7, 1-7 primary shield repairs, 8-0 secondary shield repairs
row8, 1-7 primary hull repairs, 8-0 secondary hull repairs
row9, 1-7 primary attack buffs, 8-0 secondary attack buffs
row0, 1-3 main powers (atb, atd), 4-7 movement buffs, 8-0 panics

then i have some doubled up on rows 1-3 to watch, or to manually activate, or for explicit things like cloak

But with singularities and some other stuff I'm out of space in 1-3 on some ships
