Jem'Hadar Attack Ship Build Advice

asmodicus#7179 asmodicus Member Posts: 19 Arc User
I was extremely reluctant to start a new thread, but since I couldn't get any responses in my last thread, I felt it was necessary to gain the info I am wanting.

Wouldn't you know it? Just as I felt I had just about finished the build for my FPER, I ended up getting a JHAS. After the excitement subsided, I realized that with this ship, I was going to have to, once again, rethink my loadout. What I have done is basically used the build found here, provided by a user named jjdez, and so now this is what I am running for the moment.

I managed to get a hold of a purple quality damage control engineer. I was also able to unlock the 6th Active Space Duty Slot, so now, a long with the damage control engineer, I have three blue quality technicians that reduce the cool down on boof abilities, Hakeeve, which improves Hazard Emitters, and a blue quality conn officer that grants a buff to accuracy and perception whenever Tactical Team is activated. I have a pretty good idea of the ones I need, I just have to save up the Energy Credits to get them, and that is going to take awhile.

As far as equipment goes, I have everything available to me with the exception of the Nukara, Romulan, and Reman Deflector Dishes, and Impulse Drives. I do, however, have the shields from those sets. My fleet is T5 in everything, so if there is something I need to purchase, I probably can. I just respeced my skills, so I really wouldn't want to have to do that again so soon, but if it's absolutely necessary, I can do that as well.

At some point, I may switch to all Polaron Weapons. Probably won't do that until I get the Jem'Hadar Space Set. Not to mention I'll have to save quite a bit of Fleet Credits to purchase the DHCs, Turrets, and Vulnerability Locators. For now, I just want to maximize DPS, while retaining durability of the ship in combat. I realize the going consensus is that this is not a ship built for STFs and other such missions, however that is what I am going to use it for. I am slowly but surely getting my feet wet in PvP. However, when I do go into PvP, I get my TRIBBLE squarely handed to me. There is a player here on the forums named dahminus that I would love to get imput from, as he seems to be the guru of all things ship related, but of course any and all suggestions, critisisms, and advice is welcome.

As always, I appreciate the time you all take in helping players like me.

I have 2 JHAS I can honestly say that it is NOT the easiest ship to fly.

However when flown properly in PvP is 1 of the most devastating and annoying ships to fly against.

Right now what you have is good enough for PvE but I can see why you're not doing so well in PvP.

The basics of your build are there but switching up just a few things will help...

    TT, CRF1, CRF2, APO3
    TT, APB1, APO1
    EPTE1, RSP1 or AUX2DAMP1
    EPTS1

EPTW and ET aren't going to save you but speed and high resists will. Whether it be RSP for "oh TRIBBLE" or Aux2damp for sustained resist+turn boost those will be much better than what you have.

Thank you edalgo. One of the hardest things for me is choosing my boff abilities. Your advice is exactly one of the things I was looking for.

As far as what you said about the JHAS not being the easiest to fly, I would be inclined to agree. I think I have gotten the hang of it, though, and adopted a strategy that's been very effective with it so far. Basically I activate buffs, point towards the target and begin my attack, before I get within 1km of the target, I turn back, letting the turrets and Omni Directional Cutting Beam do their jobs. If my buffs are still running, I will zip back around and let my fore weapons fore some more, then turn and usually by then I have a set of boffs ready. Wash, rinse, and repeat. I have a friend that runs a parser, and I was able to get -

    "CombatLogReader—Infected Space[9:15]— Dmg(DPS) —T'lanna Ad 6,504,078(14,770) Noah 3,251,968(9,344) Gerard 1,963,309(4,608) Arcarius 1,737,047(4,746) Proctous 750,290(4,077)"

(I'm Noah). I was honestly shocked that I'd gotten it that high.

What do you think about my current boff abilities that I'm using for STFs? I dunno if I should keep them the same, or switch up the Eng/Sci abilities some.

This is one setup I have considered:
    Lt. Univ. Station: ST1 - HE2
    Lt. Univ. Station: ET1 - DEM1
    Cmdr Tac: TT1 - CSV1 - APO1 - CSV3
    Lt. Cmdr Tac: TT1 - CRF1 - APB2
    Ens. Eng Station: EPtS1

Do you have 2 Conn doff for Attack Patterns CD?

If not that's something to really strive for especially on what you have so far...i know super expensive but really opens up more builds than the all cannon set up

Oh man, I wish. But they are just too dang expensive for me right now. I think they're going for around 40-something EC on the exchange right now. I'm saving up for them, though.

I'm a guru...rather like to think of myself as a top end player that likes to drag inquisitive players up the ladder.

Anyways, you should really have two loadouts. One for pvp and another for pve.

For a skill tree, you can use mine I'm my sig. Optimized to be amazing in pvp and pve as a dogfighting escort.

    So let's start with pve.
I'd use aux2sif1 over et2. Quicker cd will pay off.
A sci team2 over tss for the quicker all at once heal and cleanse.
    I'd swap csv3 for omega 3, both omega 1s for apbeta2s, and apbeta1 for csv1.

Csv is a base damage increase and the difference between csv1 and csv3 is only 10%

Gear wise, you could get the romulan engines for a bit more dps.

    Dhcs should be crtdx2

What would help your dps would be to learn where to fly. Always try to get 2 or more targets in front of you, a keybind set up would help to manage abilities. High cannon dps requires you to be within 3km or you suffer a lot of damage drop off.

Always have your fore in something. Try doing the Yo Yo method to maintain some defense, but always do your damn estate to keep fore weapons hitting something.

You can always go beams do instantly double your dps, plus you can go the omni+obi core for even more dps bonus.

    Cheers, and good luck.

P.s. For pvp, a2d+animatterdoff, epte1/epts1 are your major skills to survive. Plus get fleet neutroniums with resall...and your weapons should be accx2 or more
    Chive on and prosper, eh?

    My PvE/PvP hybrid skill tree

Which do you prefer, an all Cannon build or 3x Cannons and 1x Torp for PVP?
I'm currently specced out for torps, but thought I would ask before re-speccing my Bug.

    Thanks!

for pvp 3cannons+1DBB (beam overload), or 4 cannons. Don't use torpedos in escorts.

Hi.I dont use a2b on my bug,a2d is better.2 tact team,2omega,2 rapid or scotter, beam overload, depends on what you want to do.For pvp,i use the New xindi traits, and the helmsman.1 Zemok for Attack patterns,1for Beam overload Shield pen,Keel'el,damage control engineer,2 or 1 for evasive-mobiliti in pvp.
    Borg set 2piece+Fleet Shield,Fleet Warp core E-W.
    Oh i use 2tac-romulan male from embassy,and 3eng boff.
    I use disruptor weapons,4dhc in front,2disruptor turret,and 1 360degree Beam for overload.
Jem hadar set is not working good,Borg set is the best.I got the counter weapon set 2piece its grant me really good bonus(like +1 tac console).
