I just made captain today and have the defiant as my new ship. Since I have to wait and gain credits, in the mean time I have 2 plasma cannons, 1 purp with 3xACC and one blue with dmg and acc. my 3rd slot is double acc plasma dual beams all MK VI ,and a quantum torpedo mk VIII, my aft wepons are 2 plasma turrets MKV and VI. Should I be staying with plasma or should I up to Polaron weaponry. Also what type of shields should I be using?


When I was Commander, I was able to rip through Jem Hadar ships 12 levels higher than me.

Personally, I suggest you go full Antiproton. But Plasma is the next best thing.

Also, My own Escorts use the full Assimilated Set. It is a devastating set once you get used to it.
