And he seems kind of sad.

Someone give the man an Infinity Gem, already...
You're right. The work here is very important.

Hello, my name is Thanos and I live on a rock in space. I own a chair. I’d like to own the Infinity Stones. There are six of them. They are all I think about, really.
    Incorrect.

Mistress Death. As a result of falling in love with Mistress Death, Thanos was motivated to give her the universe. So, he sought out the infinity gems. After obtaining all of the gems, Thanos attempted to use them to win over Mistress Death's favor. He failed. Thanos was originally motivated by love. While under the influence of the infinity gems, Thanos decided that he wanted absolute power.

Now, the story does not start in "The Infinity Gauntlet".

"The Thanos Quest' (1990) was a short run mini-series, which began the storyline that lead to "The Infinity Gauntlet". Many people do not know that the two issue mini-series exists.

True, though this blog is written by film Thanos, and we don't really know anything about his motivations.

Anyway, the whole thing is a silly exercise in pointing out that we're 10 films into the franchise, and he hasn't managed to acquire a single Infinity Stone. :P

According to what I understand, the film version of Thanos already has two gems.

Joss didn't reveal which gems Thanos obtained.

    It's Thanos.

    He may be lying.
