Did anyone catch the new Intrepid ship model?

I just watched the Delta Rising trailer, and the one thing that popped out at me was a slightly different looking Voyager.

Anyone else notice this as well? The ship in the trailer looks MUCH better than the current one.

Frankly, all the ships in-game need a makeover like this. But yeah, it looks nice.

Aside from the fact that if it wasn't for the Intrepid model, NOTHING in this trailer looks like it would belong in a Star Trek game :D

EDIT: I stand corrected, there are a few familiar sights, though there is even more that just looks like "meh" again. But I'm not a fan of the Delta Quadrant anyway ;)

New Intrepid model looks great; though still admittedly mildly disappointed that the Rhode Island isn't receiving a makeover, since THE USS Rhode Island, and Harry Kim, are set to make an appearance.

lol, let alone you're one of the most dedicated Nova/Rhode Island commanders I've ever seen in game.

lol - Sorry, can't help myself.

The Rhode Island design has been my drop-dead favorite since the moment it first dropped out of warp when 'Endgame' first aired.

And so far as STO goes, the fact that the Rhode Island was my favorite design made it an instance must to use in-game; the first purchase I ever made on STO was the Rhode Island refit (T2). I enjoyed the T2 version so much that I used it right up to the end of T4. I was one of those players who quite frequently bemoaned the fact that there was, at the time, no T5 version. And the very moment it became available as a T5 Fleet ship, I was there (i.e the Fleet I am a member of hit T3 the moment it was possible to do so, and I therefore purchased the Fleet R.I the very second the T3 upgrade completed.

Of course, the fact that she has a great console/BOFF layout and is as nimble as your average escort helps, but the point is there is NO ship, before or after, that has made me enjoy STO as the Fleet Rhode Island, and I rarely use anything else (on my primary character anyway). And I cannot, therefore, help being somewhat 'devoted' to it.
I kinda admire that. And I can relate. There's nothing like my Heavy Escort Carrier, even if I have twiddled with the looks a LOT of times. It's just among those rare instance where everything 'clicks'.

I love the Rhode Island, too (along with the regular Nova class).

The funny thing about the Rhode Island model is that it was even unfinished in the series:
I was going to make other changes to the bottom, but ran out of time for the show. (One reason why I shot her in the scenes from the top as much as possible) We had SO much to do on that finally, it was mind boggling!"
You're right. The work here is very important.

When we saw it, in Endgame, it had just returned from a four-year exploration mission

Which...given its size, must have been a pretty unpleasant mission. :P

I agree with the above post about updating all the ships.

Honestly, they should have doubled the mesh detail of ships and quadrupled the texture resolutions like two years ago. Only ships need this overhaul, and maybe ground buildings/ environment.

well one of them is a rip off of a fan made design. Check out the Courageous class then watch the trailer again.

Harry Kim spent 7 years in a tiny cubicle on voyager, he must have loved sitting in that big chair submitting all his bridge officers to his clarinet concertos as he wrote them.

I would really like it if we would get proper "deployed armor" defenses from delta rising. Not as OP as in endgame, but the option to replace shields with an armor generator perhaps with some tradeoffs to have some advantages and disadvantages over normal shields.
