Question: GUI while recording

I've been trying to record my STO mission runs and a thought occurred to me: Is there a way to hide the GUI in the final recording screen, but have it up while it's playing? I rely on the skill toolbar to determine the cooldowns of my abilities, so hiding my GUI would hamper my performance when doing elite mission runs.
I know the ALT-F12 shortcut that hides the GUI for the entire screen. It's great for screenshots, but not so much when you're making videos in combat.
