Holding out DOFFS from doff missions

joeshabadoojoeshabadoo Member Posts: 10 Arc User
So I switch between ships frequently and my DOFF loadout for each ship is different. I'm running into an irritating problem where I don't want DOFFs that I use for another ship to get stuck in a DOFF mission and then be forced to abort the mission. I know i can just assign another DOFF but t's a pain in the butt to have to deselect my "Very Rare" DOFFS for every single DOFF mission available. Anyone else having issues with this?

There's a request for that in the General Discussion that you should show support for:

It would definitely be a useful feature if we could mark a doff as ineligible for sending out on assignments.

The problem I can see is that... five DOffs (ten if you count Ground) to a loadout, say four loadouts is twenty DOffs, If you've got five ships (Nukara, Borg Assimilated, Dyson Joint Command, 8472 Counter-Command and MACO/Honor Guard, just to name some)... that's your entire 100-slot default DOff roster, right there.

Even taking into account different numbers of ship and loadouts, as well as an increased DOff roster, that still means there's the possibility of having a lot of ineligible DOffs in your roster...

I almost lost my projectile R&D doff to the Cardassian exchange program. I'd REALLY at least like to see if a doff has R&D abilities on the select screen.

True. It would be nice if they had an addition to their name, so we're able to search for them on the exchange as well. Similar to the "TI"-title the common/uncommon temporal doffs from the beacons got.

How many Doffs overlap in those loadouts though? For example, I never leave home without my Warp Core Engineer or at least 1 Vog the Faithless. They go into all of my builds. So if I had 20 loadouts, that's only 2-3 doffs that I would mark as ineligible.

Plus it's entirely up to the player if they want to fill their roster with ineligible doffs. We're asking for a manual flagging system, not one that automatically flags any doff that you have saved in a loadout; the latter would be an utter disaster.
