Just when I've finally figured out what works for me with regards to maxing out my dilithium earnings on a session per session basis, I'm hampered by the dilithium refinement limit of 8,000 per day.
When contirbuting to fleet projects this is a HUGE bottleneck. Especially since most fleet projects require huge amounts of dilithium per project. Add to that i'm in a small fleet with maybe 1/4 of the members actually pitching in substantially, it becomes more frustrating.
Please raise the daily dilithium refinement limit.

Working as designed. Either wait longer or buy Dilithium with Zen.

it would only raise the price of zen.
and if you only have fleet whit 4 members maybe you should seriously consider to switch to bigger one. as the point of the fleet is not to have 4 players in it.

I don't want to pay 700 dilithium per zen, thank you very much.
This guys got it right putting the refine limit up would only put exchange price up. Now if u asked for dev to change it to un-refined dill i would be all for that.
OP it isn't going to happen. If you are desperate for fleet projects than just buy some from exchange ... as much as I loath to give more money to Cryptic. Certainly beats working for less than slave wage for virtual currency.
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
In NW, they apparently can refine 3x the amount of their dilithium equivalent as we can...
...but I also heard that prices are 10x as high for dilithium equivalent bought items.
They also need a lot more astral diamond (the equivalent of dil) than us. They use it for pretty much everything, from NPC cash, endgame gear, exchange and obviously, zen exchange.
The AD is the real currency for everything in NWN, gold is useless.
It would be nice if the refine limit was increased to 10,000 per day.
I know that so many are scared that it will cause the Dil to Zen exchange rate to sky rocket. However, it will be no different than the weekend Dil events do now. Every time there is one, the Dil exchange goes up. The reason it goes up is because there are people willing to pay that amount.
Think about the way they nerfed the rate at which we can now get EC. It went down by a large amount. Yet, it didn't change the 500,000,000 EC ships. They are still that price on the exchange, because there are some willing to pay that high of a price.
If no one would buy it for that price, then it will eventually drop in price.
It goes the same for the exchange rate of Dil to Zen. If people stopped buying it at such a high price per Zen, the cost for Dil will go down. Just because people have more Dil refined, they want the Zen fast, and are not patient.
I have held onto Dil for months, because the conversion rate was ridiculously priced. Even now I am holding on to some, till the price on the exchange reaches a lower price. Till then, I am patient.

It's not fear, it's economic fact. By your own admission. Personally, I don't care one way or the other, since I don't buy Zen with Dil. To label an economic fact as fear though, is disingenuous.

There are actually different definitions of fear. For example, one of them is this: Fear- Anticipation of the possibility that something unpleasant will occur.
The word "disingenuous" means lacking in frankness, candor, or sincerity. Therefore, that word doesn't fit. A lot of individuals anticipated "the possibility that something unpleasant will occur." Therefore, it was a fear of it. Fear doesn't just mean someone it terrified, or trembling. Also, I didn't imply that their fear was not just.
I only explained that this has been happening because of things like the weekend Dil event. Also, now that we have the CCE, we will see this happening again once more people have completed it.
If players are able to refine 2,000 more Dil per day, it will cause a increase in the exchange because there will be ones who are not patient. However, with no Dil sink, like a new fleet holding, the amount will keep going up anyways. When a new holding hits the game, there will ne a place for a lot of that Dil to go, instead of the exchange. This has helped the exchange rate to drop.
At this point in time, the ones selling Zen have set a high price to get as much as they can from other players willing to pay that amount, instead of waiting. However, when there is a Dil sink in game, there are fewer people putting Dil on the exchange, and are dumping more into fleet holdings. Therefore, the exchange rates go down to a price they can sell more at.

Yea you can refine 24,000 per day in Neverwinter. Of course The only thing to buy with gold there (The Neverwintewr EC) are pretty much Batteries and hypos. EVERYTHING else costs AD which is Dilithium.
You want to buy some zen there? Well with AD there is about a 2 week wait, to get your zen. Simply because there is such a big backlog, last I looked there was about 12 million zen listed on the exchange, that people wanted to buy. oh and the cheapest price? 496 for 1 zen.
It would be nice if the refine limit was increased to 10,000 per day.

.
There's a big difference between unrefined dil (which is given by the weekend dil events) and refined dil.
The dilithium refinement cap exists and is at the point it is so that Cryptic can control player advancement regarding ths currency. What you want is basically to advance faster than Cryptic wants you to advance. If you say that current advancement is too slow, just ask for being able to advance more quickly. Maybe Cryptic agrees with your feedback and changes things - whether they raise the refinement cap, or lower the dilithium advancement cost for fleets, may be up to them.
Of course, there are ways to kinda circumvent Cryptic's limitation:
Make more alts. Your effective Dilithium Refinement cap is number of characters * 8000. For Fleet projects, it makes no difference from what character it came, as long as all chars are in the fleet, it is all good. If you want to use it all on one character, you will need to use the Dilithium Exchange "trick" to convert it into account-bound Dilithium to transfer it to a different character, but that's still trivial. Of course, if you have so many characters, you will likely also want to equip them - and of course, that means that for anyone except those that only exist to grind Dilithium, more characters also means you have more stuff to buy.

24,000 per day is completely outrageous. I'm personally sick of all the dil floating around and wish they would actually lower the cap to about 6,000 (preferably 4,000) per day.
I can't tell if that's sarcasm or humor.
To the OP, I would like to see a refinement increase but have no idea of how much would be too much.

I second that!
fyi, you can refine 8500 dil per day if you use the fleet mine for the extra daily 500 ore, but it takes some time to transwarp to the fleet mine.
If anything, LTS should have unlimited refining and Gold should have 10-15k. Give me a reason to buy LTS please.
It would completely destroy their ability to sell Zen to convert to Dilithium.

Good News: They would raise the amount of Dil you can process.
Bad News: The price of converting Dil to Zen then super-skyrockets.

The exchange is AD only.
So yea they need the 24,000 per day limit there.
