It's that mentality in the first place that leads to abuse of the chat priviledges in the first place. I don't speak for devs, but I can tell you that's a far cry from the response I received from them. Perhaps someone from Cryptic would be kind enough to enlighten us about chat and its rules when they're done fixing the current issue...
Cryptic isn't responsible for abuse of chat privileges. They provide the service in good faith and can't be held responsible. It's the job of the GMs to keep the peace... I don't even know if this game still employs GMs truth be told. At any rate, those "abusive" players are easy to deal with: "Add Player to Ignore". Voila, problem solved

This November, remember to vote xtern1ty for thought police commissioner! Only he can tell us how to have fun!

That's the myth. In reality, it's never that easy to stop a group of players intent on making trouble, particularly when done deliberately and repetitively towards a player. This behavior goes on in-game and is becoming an ever-increasing issue that sooner or later will have to be addressed for the sake of regular players caught unexpectedly by such tactics.

Ah now I know who you're referring to. Well they got a knack for inventively bugging people, just move your RP events to a more obscure location is all I can advice. But don't forget that in the end Cryptic doesn't have any direct involvement in this however, it's a PWE problem... and we all know how well PWE deals with these kind of issues isn't it?
Pity, was just running around ESD thinking how peaceful it was... then Zone chat came back online...
lol, Keep an eye out, you'll see those I spoke of start up again, They are already saying I am slandering by speaking out about the issue of chat abuse here in the forums.
