Too little? Too much? How many casuals(I include myself as a casual for that matter)would jump into the shark tank?

    lets see.....................

you can complete pvp daily in less then 5 minutes 3x15 kills to complete a daily mission so that would be 1 key every 6 mins ish counting for logging/queue start, so 10 keys per hour per person/account say you run at max 10 v 10 15 kills about 13 mins per x3 so about 4 and a bit lets just say 4 complete runs per hour 80 keys per hour per set of 20 alts which is indeed possible at 125 zen x 80 keys thats 10000 zen or 8 packs that would be 9000 zen sto would lose in profits per hour, daily grinding is about 4 hours long so that'd be 320 keys or 40000 zen or in bulk packs 36000 zen of stos profits lost and about 4 months till it closes.

    bad idea, next one?

9 of every 10 pvp participants being an afk key-farmer sounds like such an awesome idea.

that would be amazing. just to see the pve que have over 1000 people in it alone would be worth it, no mater if 99% were afk

Would be a super afk fest.

Making a proper match making system is the only real way to attract people willing to play. If your not doing it for fun why bother. I would rather wait an hour for one good match then play 10 in an hour that made me want to uninstall the game.

    If They do...

Then They better add a way for:
    RP'ers to get one.
    And PvE'ers.
    And Doff'ers
    And Veterans
    And (whom ever I forgot)

Current exchange rate is 167 Dil <-> 1 Zen, with a single Master Key running 125 Zen or 20875 Dil...

...heh, yeah - not happening. :P

I don't know if keys would be enough. My fleet has its annual Fleet Olympics, a series of 1v1 matches, which we offered a key just for signing up. You could sign up, get your key and forfeit. We still only got ten people to sign up.

Maybe a constant reward would draw more, but it won't have the desired effect of getting anyone to participate.

Can't see them giving away keys anyway.

A lot of good responses, thank you.

To highlight some of the problems addressed thus far, I would make the following suggestions.

-1 key per ACCOUNT per 20 hour cycle. No alt Farming.

-the key spawns in the center axis of the map at the end of the match, players can move but not shoot for the 180 seconds players have before being forced to leave. AFKers will have to at least watch to get reward.

30 keys a month, give or take, at the cost of some exchange deflation, for a more robust, abet chaotic arena system.

    ps.

As to rewarding keys for other aspects of the game, I simply don't have objections personally, but how to RP for a key and measure that kind of participation will require a more cunning mind than my own.

That would work but only the key reward to the winners of the match.

That would be the only way to stop AFKers as there is no incentives to Q up just to die and lose.

We would see many MANY more premades and fleetmates in the Q's trying to win matches.

    THAT I'M ALL FOR!

That will only intensify the min/max hardcore cheese whizz that has driven so many players from PvP.

Gauging participation is easy enough, as the game itself is already logging damage and healing. If Only the elite get the key, only the elite will play. Long queues, same players and tactics seen repetitively, no room for growth.

There's no way in hell PWE is going to let a player get 30 keys a month without Paying something for them.

To add to what edalgo said, don't forget about the single duo queues. A good reward for then winners of those matches might also encourage more cooperation and active participation in those matches. And with more people participating it would be harder to ensure you have a team full of people from the same fleet.

Well what about a pvp rep token, like the CE event currently running, with a box of random goodies earned once per 14 days that May include a master key?
