Damn you pvp...

Why do you have to be so much fun?

in my infinite wisdom, I turned my super cool pvp a2b contortrix into a non a2b super expensive pve dps machine...why? I was tired /shrug.

My god is pve boring....

Rocked everything and it's just dull...no excitement...no sense of needing to adapt...it's just a crappy dance...every single time.

No urgency, no timing, no disgrace, just move here, bust a move, move there, bust a move.

So yes, damn you for taking whatever it is I got from pve and made me see it for what it is...Delta rising better be grind lite, I might just quit.

Future contemplaters of pvp...come prepared and have fun, you don't know what your missing and an under geared, poorly conceived build is not doing yourself or the enjoyment to be had in pvp justice.

    Tom: Doh, that explains it then...
    Jerry: Sure does.

    edit: Lol, I wish I was even mainly doing PvE these days...it's all DOFFing, R&D, and Starbase stuff...Farmville Star Trek Edition, meh. So yeah, I PvP to get blown up...teehee and giggles. ;)

    Ever thought about rolling another career? I was getting a little bored with full tactical po-wa. So I took a moment, bought the Vesta bundle as fully fledged science ships and made a drainer. You felt what it does :D It's just so much fun, brings the challenge on a different level. I had the pleasure of killing some foes that with an escort would have taken ages. Instead of going full buff with cannons o a FBP boat for example, I look for their buffs, wait for sensor analysis to stack, and begin Subsystem Targeting and drain attacks. When they float in space tractored with no power, end them with torps as they are defenseless :D

    Everything is different, and I love it.

    Then when I had enough I go to a Romulan if I feel like obliterating stuff, on the Fed tac to roll on an Excelsior, Avenger, Mobius, Tempest with dogfight and vape loadout, or just the Proton Defiant for the lulz. Hell yeah I built the first Proton vaper on Federation side! 70k crits ;D

    Really, avoid full DPS for once. Get a Mirror Nova and toy around science. :)

    Why AtBatt a Contortotix? (I have one too, but no A2B)

    TT1 CRF1 BO3 APO3
    TT1 CRF1
    TorpSpread 1 (try bo1 if you don't torp)
    ST1 HE2
    EptE 1 AtD 1 EptS3 or RSP2

    3 DHC 1 DBB 1 grav torp

    Rear KCB and Proton weapon

    Awesome ship

    Sadly, AtB brings to better results on an escort. More engi abilities, cycling way faster those powers. I think it should seriously be restricted on these kind of ships. No way they can tank nearly as a Battle Cruiser.

    Why running EPTE1/RSP1/EPTS3 when I can go EPTE1/ATB1/EPTS3 - ET1/ATB1/RSP2? And still have tac buffs going on global.

    Global heals/highest tact boff skill resets.

    In solo pvp, it just makes sense and man does it kill everyone

    I can see 2 damage control doff, aux2damp doff, keel'el, maybe 2 zemoks?

    That omega a 1 minute cd is pretty brutal.

    What are you using aux for? He2, aux2damp and the auxillary nukara trait(s)...

    Your missing out on bo/ts/apo/he/rsp/st/eptx at global...

    Just saying, not trying to convert, your build looks like you go solo in the queues as well. Lose a bit of damage but gain a ton of self sustainability

    Not really. Retains the maneuverability of a non-AtB setup, just tanks a hell more.

    But, but...this is a Damn You PvP for being fun...cause PvE is not fun thread!

    You guys should run an ISE...one goes left, one goes right...see who parses higher in the end!

    Competitive PvE!

    Then hit up the challenge and blow each other up. ;)

    I prefer double A2B Xindi scort too. But pure offensive for me. :cool:
    More possible layouts/setups for me. More place for additional doffs.

    I will say if anything about A2B is ever changed, (lol yeah right), there will be quite a few escort jockeys out there who won't have the slightest clue how to fly anymore. By no means am I implying anyone in this post would be one of them, just saying in general. This isn't an attack, merely a comment about the current state of some escorts and their pilots.

    its quite interesting to fight AtD Contortrix in my AtB Contortrix. totally different character, they move and turn twice as well, it takes a lot of effort to duel them. i'm more tanky sure, but he will have much better time on target, potentially. i still usually come out on top, im not to shabby with escorts, but if the AtD pilot was better then me? i shouldn't stand a chance. also, the inertia is frustratingly high, makes it a real pain in the TRIBBLE to dogfight with, would hate flying it if it wasn't so shockingly powerful

    also, if your not running 5 DHCs on it, your doing it wrong

    Eeeh not so sure about that. Ltmcdr Universal vs Lt uni + Ensign tac goes a very long way.

    You can't even imagine how gladly I would use that Ltcmd universal for tac on the Tempest if AtB didn't make it clearly superior.
