Gravity Well 3 not available

My science officer can't get the Gravity Well 3 ability for his science bofs. It isn't offered even though I have the 6 ranks in Graviton Generators. Is there another prereq or a different vender. I seem to have a lot of trouble getting ANY level 3 abilities for any of my characters. What am I missing?

    select the boff, in your tab, and train him. The ability should come up

    Under skill points when it says "6 points in this skill allows you to train XYZ skill" it is class specific. Only sci players with 6 points in gravi gen can train it. There is one or two unique sci boffs that might have it, but otherwise you have to train it. That's the only way.

    I am playing a science officer and my bofs are trained all the way up to commander. I can get a few other, default, commander skills, but not the level three ones. Is it because I play for free?

    No, F2P isnt a problem. Are you sure you dont have disabled Sci abilities in the filter options?
    Another problem is, that you shouldnt try to train it near the BO-Trainer, as he sometimes highjackes your train-menu and offers you his.

    You mean to train them, not from the trainer, but from a pull down on the character sheet? I will have to give that a try. Thanks.

    Yes, as the regular npc trainer, will never offer IIRC any level 3 skill.

    They either need have it themselves, or be trained by you, however there are some that are unique to boffs alone.

    This may not be avllable yet as the next expansion pack may have that.

    Uh.... No. Grav Wel 3 has been around for years. It's been part of the game for a very long time.

    If you're unable to train a particular skill, talk to a fleetmate of that skills class. Likely they can do it for you if you can't respec.

    Well then you heard wrong. Gravity Well III has been in the game as a Commander level ability since the game came out.
