Good PvP build help

Hey peeps

I'm wanting to branch out into pvp mainly due to the impending new content I've become stuck on what to do

I have decided to stop the normal routine of rep gear etc until we find out what's going to happen with the stuff with the new mark gear being introduced

So I'm looking for any and all help getting a good pvp build going

So Yeh help would be good

    Ship? What do you hope to do with it? Budget? Rep/current gear? If you need a skill tree layout there's on in my sig.

    * Budget is what ever it needs to be ( will give me something to aim for )

    * Ship - Either Fleet Avenger or Fleet Defiant

    * What i want to do with it - Kill and Tank if poss?

    * Rep All to T5 and Gear in links below

    but im up for anything really point in direction of a good build and ill work towards it.

    My set up ATM is mostly for PvE tbh since i have never really PvP'd before.:o

    A2b or non a2b. I'll build the avenger for ya. Cannons or beams?

    If it evolves purple tech doffs for mega amounts of Ec then prob non a2b lol

    Just farm the B'tran colonial chain. Paying for purple technicians is for fools.

    The chain doffs from Eridan, Delta Volantis, and the Zenas Expanse give you a 33% crit chance on the colonial support mission (end of chain repeatable for purples).

    Using the purple Rigelian from the Engineering CXP track hilkes up the crit chance to 34%.

    Ok, now you guys can get back to helping with his PvP build.

    Please ... don't encourage more folks to aux2bat. Too many silly sods doing that already. Show him the unique builds!

    Do you know how expensive a viable federation non aux2bat non-zombie/healer build is?
    Pve can be anything you want....pvp has standards you have to shoot for
