Seriously Cryptic, you guys really know how to get rid of your players.

Yeah they got that down pat lol. Other than logging in once a day for about 15 seconds to throw some doffs into a crafting school. I've been practicing what I preach and on the verge of just not coming back myself lol.
What is the point of the known issues section of patch notes? Its not comprehensive. I would still like to see some evidence that the loadout issues are on cryptics radar.

Yep its officially entered the age of swept under the rug.

    Once upon a time STF's granted 1440 Dill + additional awards .
Then you nerfed the dill and said that the additional awards would make up for it .
Now you just nerfed the additional awards .

    Thanks .

Yeah, the mark box change - was it never intended for them to stay closed, or did you just realize it was too much of a benefit on mark events?

1440? And to say I loved the times when it was 1100.

Although wait, now I'm not sure... There were so many nerfs to STFs now.

Also yes, if you patch Tribble before the Holodeck update, the game will simply copy the files to Holodeck folder and will barely download anything.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

1 STF (assuming no daily pack)

    75 marks*10=750 dil
    1 processor*333=333 dil
    960 base dil
    _____________

    2043 dil per STF

All you have to do for your FULL daily dil is run: Vortex Space Elite, Conduit Elite, Cure Elite, and repeat the first one you did

    4 Processors=1333 dil (1k retrievable now)
    (75*4)+5=355 marks, 355*10=3555 dil
    960*4=3840
    ________________

4 STFs (as low as 30 or so min with a elite team)
    ===8728 dilthium

Personally that is fair to me

Well, it definitely could be worse, but what you're calculating here means you get nothing but dil from STFs (and vendortrash).

Previously, you'd get 4400 dil and 8 EDC (encrypted data chips) from four elites. As well as a good chance for at least some components (heh, what were those called?). (And some vendortrash.)

I sadly don't remember how much dil all those other things were worth, so I can't directly compare. But I'm pretty sure my anger back then was well justified and we lost a good deal (wasn't one EDC worth 480 dil? that would already put it almost on par with today's dil without counting the other nice stuff).

fair enough, although at this point, i barely have any characters needing rep gear, so these numbers work out well for me.

My guess is, they need to at least keep Tribble up to date, so the patch in that respect is necessary, and als does "pre-patching" work between Tribble and Holodeck? Can the game simply copy the files over once the version number changes? If so, that might alleviate some strain from the patch server ... not much, but some.

Actually it does. If my tribble is up to date, when the patch goes to Holodeck it copies it over and the received part in the download is basically zero. Same thing with seasonal updates.

The thing is that the Devs were addressing the fact that the best gear, MkXII and STF gear dropped from the STFs + the biggest dilithium rewards for any content in the game.

So rather than improve the other gear or increase (or add) dilithium to other end game content, they lowered the rewards in STFs.

wasn't it stated somewhere that cryptic doesn't care if players hoard the boxes, they just didn't like how nobody played during the mark weekends because of it, because it screwed up their activity logs.
Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

When will we see fixes for the DOff / crafting system? The UI still needs tweaking, the colors need adjusting so things don't look like they are saying you don't have that when you do (the reds and oranges that look close), and the lag! The lag for missions completing is ridiculous! This thing needs so much work, it's not even funny.

Also you want your Test server code to be equivalent to what was sent to the Production server before you start making the next round of changes to Test. Otherwise, fixes you may have made that went to Production would not be there when you move the new code to Production the next week.

Could someone explain to me this one. Is this a ploy to curtail rewards during bonus weekends?

Maybe they think we're earning too much?
Kinda confused on why this would be such a big deal myself, but hey, they have the stats.
    lordfuzun wrote: »
That is probably exactly what the change is for. Players could save up unopened boxes and open the open them on Bonus Weekends. This inflated player's mark earnings. It's a ploy to get players to actually play on the bonus weekends, rather then stock up and log in once on the weekend to get the marks bonus

I bought 3 extra batches of bank space just for that purpose.
And, play as much as possible on the bonus weekend.
At least now I can open one of those rental storage unit places.
    toiva wrote: »
Funny thing is it could turn people from playing all the time between weekend events. If you wanted to maximise earnings, you could still play anytime with the boxes, now you're limited to the events.

You got that right. I find it hard (not very enjoyable), playing cce already, even knowing I can get the 90 fm's (we used to get 90 on a regular basis), if I hold the box for a month or so.
Bonus mark weekend used to be my favorite event next to dilithium weekend, but it seems it's taking a few steps in the direction of lame.
I mean really, 90 marks is a bonus?

It seems my earning power (dilithium/fleet marks), has taken a huge hit of late.
Between the 9.5 doff ui, which has deterred me from even bothering to doff on my 2 alts, cut doffing down to 20 - 40% of what I used to do on my main, and now the meager fleet marks that will trickle in only on the bonus weekend, it definitely seems like the powers that be think we were earning way too much, or progressing too fast.

But if that's the way it is, so be it.

My half million dil unrefined ore buffer will continue to dwindle instead of rise and should be gone in a few months.
I'll go back to earning 2-3 k dil a day like the new players.
I can stop investing so much into my fleet, because she's at a decent level 8 in under a year anyways, and plenty good enough for me.

Now maybe I can just hop back in my ship and do the episodes over again.
Or set up a surfing competition on Risa.
    That sounds like fun actually...

I would just have one suggestion.
I get a fair amount of marks I don't particularly need from playing content I actually like.
(ie; Infected: The Conduit Elite space). It would be nice to get fleet marks from that,
and the cooldown was say, cut in half?
And maybe a few more areas to earn fm's?

But then again, maybe we really were just earning way too much as it is.
