Is this too high?

On my Elachi S'golth my Officers and Skills give me a total of 14.9 Critical chance, would you consider it to be high? or too high? I'm trying to achieve a decent DPS without exceeding ridiculous levels.

    What's ridiculous dps? Have you done ridiculous dps? Just... don't get it.

    I literally asked if a critical chance of 14.9 is high or average compared to the rest of the STO community do you still not understand or do you need me to draw you a picture?

    One must admit that your statement from post one is heavily inflicting with itself. I want dps without using what gives me dps.

    To just answer your question, 14.9% is -for a built toon- a lower average number, usual you can easily score 17-18%, and if you have an escort up to 23%. If you are are rom even higher. And thats all before Acc-Overlflow (which only works on single-target skills) and APA.
    As you have an escort, you should aim to get at least around 18% to be considered average.

    Using vulnerability locators is highly recommended. Good gear doesnt equal good dps. But it helps. If you play with DHCs only, 17-20k DPS in a pug are achieveable, though high piloting skill is required. Bad piloting skill can easily lower your dps by 50 or more percent.

    Saying you wont use it because you dont want ridiculous levels (of crth or dps) is a bit like shooting ones knee to run 100meters sprint.
