What boosts nukra mines

I have nukra mines and console but am wondering if any tac console helps these mines.

I know high aux makes them better but do mine consoles work? Particle generators? Subspace decompiler?

Stock aux batteries or run EPTAux.

    According to:
    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Nukara_Web_Mine_Launcher#Nukara_Web_Mine_Launcher

It does physical damage. The only way I could imagine you'd get a boost would be to run a console that has generic "+mine damage" -- and there are a few but I wouldn't use them at the expense of consoles that boost your other weapons.

Nukara mines were once really great, able to do awe-inspiring amounts of damage when properly buffed with high aux. Then they got the worst nerf since sci powers got hit. They're pretty useless right now.

One thing I would suggest: it probably isn't worth the loss of a high-ranking boff slot, but Dispersal Pattern Beta adds more of them. The more mines that hit a single target to create the web, the more damage they generate. The damage is per-mine.

I've tried it before and ended up going back to tac skills that buffed other things instead.

    Thx for the replies,

I use dispersal pattern alpha 2 with them because i use reverse pull tractors to drag ships through plasma and the minefield. Alpha instead of beta to give a trail of 6 that works well. Beta would work just as well i think. This is the reason i wanted to boost them with something lol.

Hot pursuit seems quite useful and have put that on my to get list. Wish the vender nurf didnt kill my ec farming lol. Its not a cheap trait.

If I remember correctly, the mine consoles do not boost the Nukara mines. Aux power seems to be the only boost. There was a thread about it some time ago in the KDF section.

EDIT: I found the thread: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=859101

If you use DPB instead of DPA, all of your mines are more likely to hit the same target, doing far more damage to that one target. One mine doesn't really stop a ship. 4 together can hurt it a lot.

    Just sayin'...

Very true about DPB over DPA. I do always use DPB on any other build, however this one grabs 3 ships with tractors, pulls them behind the ship through plasma. 3 targets to hit so alpha does what i want for this purpose with 3 drops of 2, however i agree 100% DPB>DPA in most cases.

I used to specialize a cannon escort with DPB3 and the heaviest TCD I could get my hands on. This was back in the days before the PvP folks-who-whine got the TCD nerfed into totally useless garbage. Funny, they're the ones-who-cried and got the web mines nerfed. And teh sci skills nerfed.

Hell's Bells, the PVPers are killing this game so much!

I've toyed a lot with Nukara Mines for PVE & PVP.

Mine Damage Consoles do not boost them.

TAC abilities APA, APO and Dispersal Patterns do however.

The biggest factor is Aux Power. If you don't go high Aux, don't even bother packing these weapons.

Cryptic does that on their own, not the PVP crowd.
