What's the point of having something like this? Just because it would be fun? Do you work for one of those EC farmer companies that sell in-game currencies for cash? Most folks have been posting that they want to see more difficult content and you're asking for a console that makes all content one-shotable? Huh?
OP's idea looks to bring your love of being OP to the highest level. Not saying the idea is good but I'm just saying.
Being OP is only fun when there's still the semblance of a fight (along with a suspension of disbelief, that is). God-consoles are the equivalent of not playing at all, and just having whatever mission reward there is be deposited straight into your inventory. Now where's the fun in that?!
1. It's not fun for whoever gets targeted.
2. Implementing what amounts to a cheat code in a multiplayer game is bad design.
3. Completely bypassing any difficulty existing in the game is not fun.
4. Such a device would have amazing potential to break various missions in all sorts of ways, that would be a headache for devs to fix.
5. If in the C-Store, it would be the ultimate expression of Pay-to-Win.
6. If available to everyone, PvP would simply degenerate into a farce to see who could click this button fastest.
7. It has already been stated by the devs that they do not like OHKOs.
8. It requires an outright and complete suspension of disbelief to fit in the game. Seriously, how would you even explain something like this?
9. What fun is there in just clicking a button and then something goes poof? Look, I can make a game like that too - just click one button and put in "You Win!"
I'm sure I could think of more. Don't just avoid the argument by saying, "Oh, everyone's so negative." You should justify yourself.
If I told you to stick your hand in a running blender, would you do it? No? Oh, but you're just being negative - you should be more objective about it!
I don't see this idea as being a bad one for STO or its players. There is always going to be nerfs and power creeps. Why not have the one console everyone wants available with specific restrictions?
But there's only 1 buffoon who wants this console. Try again with "the one console everyone wants" instead of your own personal fantasy?
Only in 1 person's mind. The rest of us realize that it's a joke, and a bad one at that, no matter what the bozo who proposed it thinks.
Anyway, regardless of the suggestion, a little less negativity and a little more objectivity would be helpful in the future, even if the idea seems absurd.

It was worth a lunchtime forum read to find this thread.

Objectively, this idea is lame at best.
