Engine/Throttle formula

Does anyone know the formula that determines the speed at max throttle? It seems that the old one at "The engines cannae' take it" isn't accurate anymore.

Also, if anyone happens to know: how can one calculate the acceleration of a ship, i.e. how long does it take to get from a full stop to full speed?

    I don't know the formula, but I do know when it was changed. They changed it for LoR. The Devs wanted a better curve to benefit larger ships with turning. Since then, I don't think anyone figured out the new formula, so I think this is a question for the Devs.
