War games map, a suggestion

Why don't we create a war game map between feds and klingons. A pvp, if you will but that's an open area like Ker'rat.

You enter this system, and the objective is to secure the system. It resets once the entire system has been taken.

Once you take a zone, reinforcements arrive, controlled by the NPCs. Destroy them all to secure that zone. If you die before securing the zone but the NPCs are all dead too, then the zone drops to neutral.

Rewards would come in EC, Dil and fleet marks (the latter as part of a mission assignment). 10,000 EC, 100 dil per zone. 100,000 EC, 500 dil for securing the entire system/planet.

One ground, one space. No need to queue. Just beam or warp in.

As for spawning, you spawn in the zone you died in. Unless it was taken. IF securing a zone, you respawn in the last zone you took. If you haven't secured a zone, then you respawn at base.

Base is a fort that cannot be taken. Defences regenerate quickly, so if you were to overwhelm your enemy base, the defences will regenerate within 60 seconds of being destroyed.


Thoughts?

it'd allow us to do pvp, publically and get the pvp awards without having to query.

    pvp battlezone, yeah. deja vue, lol... makes sense, aye? me want!.... but won't happen, just like inter-fleet-pvp on fleet-holding maps f.e. :(...

    (how shortsighted can one be to NOT implement such modes when implementing a new fleet-holding-system or battlezones like they did? it's all there!!!.......:mad: /rageoff)

    We also need some new Arena Maps.. that will be fine.
