I recall reading that Terradome would not return. Do a forum search and find out for yourself.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
awww, I never got a chance to play the mission one last time before it was taken down. This is one bit of new I am sad and angry about (however old it is).
The thing that is worse is that they said they were removing to fix it, then they've gone back on there word.
Terradome was the last challenging piece of content in the game. With its removal, that pushes Armek up to the most challenging... which is pathetic, since he can be solo'd if you're good.
Back in may I posted a thread asking about terradome. Appatently geko said in a stoked radio podcast. That terradome is done and not coming back. Infiltration is a pseudo replacement
How the Devs see Star Trek, apparently:
Star Trek: The Original Grind
Star Trek: The Next Grind
Star Trek: Deep Space Grind
Star Trek: Voyage to the Grind
As to why it was removed, the ground portion had a few issues that could stall the mission. The coin flipping part in particular. It often took 20-30 minutes to find all the people flipping coins, which could make for some pretty boring and frustrating gameplay. There were some other issues too that I can't remember at the moment.
It stayed in the game for a long time if you could be bothered to travel to Gamma Orionis and manually create teams.
I was never able to finish it. We'd get to the faux DS9 part, where you have to spread out to protect the terminals or what not, and somebody would just get overwhelmed without fail.
If I put my tin foil hat on, I bet TerraDome won't come back because it's original creators are either no longer with the studio or have moved on to other projects.
Everytime staff gets shuffled, they want their own material and content, not to spend resources updated somebody elses old work.
It's also possible that they screwed up so much they can't fix it. Much like the 'City' and 'PowerPlant' Hards on Defera. They just have no clue, so they give up.

Yeah the problem I always had was when I'd run into Undine mobs on the first ground map that would respawn as fast as you killed them. They just wouldn't stay dead..... there was no way to protect the engineers since every enemy would respawn when killed.
I'll never understand Cryptic. They removed more good content and replaced it with tons of bad ones (like the new Undine queued events). So what if Terrordrome was bugged, not like it couldn't have been tweeked to the point it would've worked.
IMHO, they should've kept Terrordrome and brought back the original STFs as a type of classic MMO Dungeon crawl, where if you wanted a chance at the special goodies at the end, you would tolerate the 30 minute wait for the coin flipping and the 2 hours it took to complete the mission. It's these missions that make friendships, not these queued insta-gratificaiton events where at most you get is a GG at the end.

I wish the staff members who left, left instructions on how things work.
