The Academy DOFF recruitment missions are actually a bit frustrating because there are no timers to indicate when they will be available again, nor is there any way to find out save by asking in the community and being told "Wait a couple of days."
Why not just make it easier on the players and fold the cooldown timer into the mission runtime?
Or just use the DOFFtrekker spreadsheet, as it can keep track of those cooldowns for you. See the stickied post from zerobang at the top of this forum.

As much as I love the work that has been put into the Dofftrekker, players should not have to rely on third-party tools to make sense of the game. This is a general problem with all Doff cooldowns in this game. There should be a simple timer shown when something is still on cooldown.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
