Are you supposed to be able to do anything with this reward from the Deferi Invasion Zone?

are you referring to the light green samples you can get? I forgot what they're called but go back to the main base camp, there should be a vendor there that you can trade him those samples for stuff.

How do you get fleet marks from it? I can't see anywhere to turn it in.

It's not one of the data samples used for crafting.

go see jula in the base camp, be in a group of 3-5, go to temple and activate the console at the top of the temple.
other groups will usually be doing it, so i'd watch their progress to see how it's done.

Preserver Temple Data... Actually, I think that's a season five/six relic that was never removed. If my memory is certain, back when the Invasion Zone was a time-gated three-hour-a-day 'event', the hards were locked until you beat the normal and mediums and the Probe region was locked, with its Tactical Elite Assimilated Gorn hard mission, until you had beaten all three of the other hards; Temple, Power Plant and City. I think, but I'll have to check, that Preserver Data and a couple other items receieved from the other two regions were used as proof that you had done so. When the D.I.Z. was opened to be available at all times and you didn't need to progress up through the mission difficulties anymore, you could just jump in and go straight for the hards, those items became relics that were still being rewarded without having a use anymore.

Fleet Marks are automatically rewarded for completing just about any mission on Defera; an Easy, for example, awards five Omega and about Seven or Ten Fleet Marks.
