Tribble (kinda) Timewarp, 26/7/14 - Triolics, TRs and partying, oh my!

yuzralyuzral Member Posts: 160 Media Corps
A short (and as much Holodeck as Tribble) based Timewarp today, looking at a couple of things that have popped up:

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ruCbP9TCKM

TL,DW:

Triolic pattern enhancer + NVidia 780Tis + postprocessing = graphical weirdness. Anyone else getting this and if so, under what circumstances (happens in both DX9ex and DX11 for me with 780Tis in SLI)

Party nullifiers: You are no longer compelled to shake your booty if it is not logical to do so. Currently unclear how this interacts with Emergency Power to Party.

TR116-B: Oh dear.
Blatant self-promotion: Producer of the Delta Rising Tribble Timewarp, Foundry Frolics and more: http://www.youtube.com/user/Yuzral

Party nullifiers are an acceptable compromise, I guess.

I guess, but it really should be a consumable, not just something that sits in your inventory and bestows a blanket resistance.
It's not my fault if you feel trolled by my Disco ball... Sorry'boutit.

Why should it, if the Party Nonsense isn't a consumable too?

Subspace Party Amplifiers ARE consumables. But I don't see a point in making nullifiers consumables too.

Wow, the TR116-B is really badly performing. And it doesn't even look nice.
There goes the ONLY reason I could ever have bothered with the new crafting system.

Party nullifier? Pointless item to shut up those who were unable to just see past the dancing.
Of all the things that need fixing in this game, this was the priority?

    It's a welcome addition.

Though I'm sure actual bug fixes, rebalances etc would be rather more welcome in all circles, unlike your precious nullifiers which are only wanted by one or two vocal people who just can't get over the fact that the balls don't hurt them in any way.

So does the Party Nullifer just make you stop automatically dancing or does it make it look like everyone stops dancing? Have to agree with it not being a consumable.

You never start dancing in the first place. Everyone else still does and the visuals are still there.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

While people complaining about the disco balls are a low priority IMHO...... people complaining about an opt out for them are also a low priority IMHO.

They have a nullifier so someone doesn't have to dance..... okay... that' nice. Move on.

So the TR116 is as good as useless and not worth having. Good to know.

    Nerf is OP, plz nerf
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

Good point. I believe those real trolls will be most glad to use other techniques than disco balls on those non dancing individuals. :D
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

It will be interesting to see how many of the rex-campers would be using nullifiers.

Nope, party balls are still here, just don't have to dance to them.

Don't worry, you'll still see 'em. I'll keep popping them out until the day this game dies.

Yes because the guy making the Party Nulifiers is the same guy that does bug fixes and rebalances.

Lets just ignore the fact that since this game has launched many bugs have gone unfixed and many things continue to be out of sync with the balance of the rest of the game. Simply because its not a high priority issue.

Its always amusing to see people use this poorly crafted excuse why something shouldnt be added to the game. Mostly because they never bother to give us actual items/issues listed that need to be fixed. Just a blanket comment like bug and balance.
