I am working on my pvp space accolades but I get easily frustrated with the relative ease that Elachi weapons can eat through my hull. I know in the hands of newer players they can be dangerous and in the hands of experienced players extremely deadly. I am curious to see if their are any counters to these weapons besides Feedback Pulse. Here are the tools I have at my disposal.
Reputation Sets:
Borg Deflector/Impulse
Borg Weapons Set (KCB/Torp/ASM)
Honor Guard Full Set
Nukara Space Weapons (Mines/Console)
Nukara Shields
Adapted Honor Guard/Maco Set
Romulan Rep Console and Hyper Torp
Voth Rep Console
Solane Set
Obeliesk Warp Core/360 Turret
Fleet Gear:
Full Set AP/Poloron/Disruptor DHC/Turrets
Full Set of Fleet Tac consoles for AP/Poloron
Elite Fleet Resilient Shield [ResB]
2 MK11 Fleet Neutroniums
Fleet Warp Core
Issue appears to be the ships and the boff slots to go with them...I'll look them over and see what's best of what you have...i assume the ktinga...but we will see.
The elachi proc is nice but not a game breaker...if your dying to elachi boomerangs, your probably dying to everything else.
I would like a build for the K'Tinga and the Guramba.
I tend to do alright in Arena Solo/Duo, but my build does not do well against premades in 5 man Arena. I tend to survive Alpha Strikes, but can be susceptible to BO AP/Elachi. Being an Eng, I can keep 3 or 4 of my systems at 75 and with my doffs and ETPX can keep all 4 systems above. I do have difficulty countering Sci based abilities.
I forgot to add, I have the MK12 Jemmy set as well. I also have a Mirror Ki'Tang.
I have the resources to buy a Torkaht or any other 4 Module Fleet Ship. I am not a fan of the BOPs, they are a little too fast for my handleing.
Gurumba is my fave ship by far and I'm doing alright in it at the moment in arena. You need as much turn boost as you can put in it. Use Hilbert's 'advanced' escort build as a base and go from there. You will eventually want the kdf 'zemoks' but they are stupid expensive.
If they bring out a fleet version I think I will actually shed tears of joy...mmm what a ship!

in pvp, your character is good for like 1 thing unfortunately, pvp heal boat. if you want to do anything else, roll a tac or sci. trying to do other things with an eng will leave you disappointed in its ineffectiveness, just skip going through all that now.

This is pretty true.
There is only 1 ship that I have found to be half decent with my Eng and that's the D'kora.
Always have to bare in mind an Eng is pretty much a thoroughbred support class.
Tac is pretty much a thoroughbred assault class (Heavy Hitter).
And Sci is somewhere in-between.
IMO the most versatile class in the game is a Sci toon.
'jack of all trades, master of none' sorta deal...
I am alright with being a PVP Healboat as I rolled an Engineer because I liked the idea of being a "Miracle Worker".
I've actually done fairly well in that roll in my K'Tinga or surprisingly the Guramba. The Guramba's Javelin can sometimes be a great way to surprise an opponent and allow others to exploit the damage done.
The only reason I am doing this on toon is because this is my accolades toon. I do have the resources for a Fleet Mogh, though I do not have the Mogh. I appreciate any advice that can be offered.

IDK... I once saw an engineer in an odyssey sit on a capture point in CnH and take like no damage. Sure, he did no damage either but it was funny watching him take points lol
I will say though, that was before all the bleedthrough stuffs.
EDIT: Also, in general, building a ship to just not die isn't a winning stragety. All one can do is troll in kerrat and CnH.
I'd like to challenge the idea that engineers are useless in pvp.
From my experience. Being a tactical is only a factor in serious pvp. Most puggers don't even think to time their defensive abilities to counter alphas, its all more of a spamfest.
I believe a mogh would be fine for you. Does it have a battle cloak feature? Would make a decent alpha striker

I don't agree. I for one am tired of DEM3, weapon overcap, bfaw builds which have unlogged crits that tear down any tac/science shields and hull in a matter of 5 seconds, thereby still making it cruisers online as a tac can't penetrate their shields and hulls fast enough before the tacs are taken out. That's why I put dem3 weapon overcap on my b'rel, but even that doesn't have the power regeneration rate that a cruiser has, which still makes it cruisers online.

Back in the day, engineers did the best pressure damage and could tank out an alpha. One can still make a good dps engineer but it takes a lot of effort when the same effort will give an even beetter tac. I do pvp with an engineer, however. One in a drain, karfi and one in a pressure bortasque and both do fine pugging. They do great with a drain or cc boat, minus the sub nuke.

My PvE/PvP hybrid skill tree
The mirror Vo'quv and fly it as a healer sounds plausible but bfaw is a death trap due to every fed using AA.
Just brutal options...
Pick a ship you like and I'll build it up...

Have you considered the mogh?
Now that's a ship I can work with
